Andy,

Over and over we notice new players build unlimited amounts of state corps collapsing there economy's and hurting CEO employment in the nation. My suggestion is very simple.

When you go to build in a nation you notice on the build page that if there's -0- workers available the bar is turned red. Just as CEO's are prevented from building if a nation lacks workers a similar feature should be added for state corporations.
If economic protection is turned off or a player hits level 3 this feature can be disabled. However, for a new player it adds a small bit of restrictions, but prevents them from collapsing their economies.

Its a small feature that in my opinion would go a long way to helping prevent a new player from total failure in the hopes of retaining them.

SuperSoilderRCP,

Agreed, I think this would be helpful for new players that don't yet know the risks of overbuilding.

Also, I'm "Tom" I've just recently changed my public profile name, because I prefer this one.

It is a good idea, as it is benefical to new players who might overbuild but also it is also incentive for CEOs to have more stable employment options in new president nations.

Though i do believe the concept is useful in it own rights as restricting the amount of corporations to build like a CEO would restrict worker imbalance in nations with a large lack of employment as usually 0 workers of a type means your are behind on workers. So overall not bad but again not sure if it is to just retain them or stabilize their economy for any future private corporation needs? as they do not last forever and country may return to a C3 but not before employment issues, even with countrys that a CEO may have purchased air transport while the country was owned and then abandoned and then a new player causes the corporations to fail; and they cannot be naturally moved.

I just believe their needs to be something for their country which this is a good suggestion, but i also believe a better way to manage CEO corperations in countrys, to simply evict them other then simply block or then bid; aswell with enterprise controlled corperations as sometimes players can dead lock the shares and drop the hiring and theirs nothing you can do about it as they have majority of shares locked; but with an option to evict/remove ceo corperations from the country, which could cause a close if the enterprise does not choose to relocate. That way there is no problems with resrictions

We had this before and removed the limitation.
I will look into it, why it was removed and get back here.

Thanks Andy,

I think it would be very easy to include as part of beginner General protection. I mean you could very easily tied into the game levels and say once you get to game level 3 it auto turns off.

I mean I could see some larger players getting angry when they're building up economies for small countries that they want to buy pot for but I think it should really be targeted towards those new players because it's very frequent you see them come in and they have 15 million pop country with 40 corporations and they can't understand why their index are balanced

I see a lot of new CEO run into huge debts, when a enterprise has 13 Trillion in debt they can't even log on to begin selling what they bought to go back into good status. So what I suggest is that when an enterprise is 7 Trillion in debt and can no longer borrow then they shouldn't be able to buy shares or products and go into negative cash. They system does prevent you from buying corporations when your negative cash, but it still allows them to buy products and purchase shares in a public corp and lock the account out. So they need this protection.

Andy, abbotnettles,

I have to agree here. Enterprise CEOs can do a lot of damage if they don't know what they are doing. Especially by buying up existing Public Corps on the Stock Market.

My suggestion would be, to simply prohibit Players from buying shares if their Cash balance is negative. That would allow well managed CEOs/Countries to buy Shares. While preventing inexperienced players from getting Trillions into the red.

I think it's already in place. It may run into the negative, but after a while it would stop.

We will fix it in the next update.
an engineer is at it now.

we will prevent new players from building corporations if there are no workers and also check share orders for available cash.

I cannot guarantee the orders will prevent all negative cash.
There could be delayed orders that could cause negative cash when delivered later.

but in general, it will not be possible to just purchase shares if you have no money.

Thank you Andy,

I'm glad we could get this passed!
To often new players make these mistakes and cant fix the damage. After which they give up. This should help to prevent those mistakes and even drive more new players to the forums in search of help!

Removing building of corps without sufficient workers is welcomed. However I think this was the case already with enterprises .
