Hey why have an cap at 20million?

i would prefer an 30million cap, as 20 million is like 8 million away from your starting country. this would improve the goal off new player.

With 15 to 20 million you can get the idea of the game and see clearly how it works.

you can then decide if you want to support it or not.

We have to set a limit and any limit we set is not comfortable.

The game cost $ 4 per month.
about the same as one cup of Starbucks coffee.
It it does not make sense to you, than the choice is clear.

With all the pop gifts a new F2P gets, the pop can get to 23-24M. I would expect that at some point the pop would slowly drop to around 20-21M. What I'm seeing with the birth rate adjustments over the last month or so is that my main country(Pomerania) is holding above 23M. What I am wondering is if there is a point after the B2B booster runs out before the pop will settle back to 20-21M....Or can I expect the pop to hold at its current level of 23-24M?

Note that I also received more pop gifts after the pop passed its soft cap limit of 20M. If I will see an eventual drop in pop, then it doesn't make much sense to receive those pop gifts once the soft cap is reached. Perhaps once the soft cap is reached, the pop gift could be replaced with a smaller cash gift instead.

Free to play countries have a cap of around 20M.

This may have been broken recently due to changes in birth rates and distribution of the population.

I think that it will return to 20M in the coming weeks.

Aqua Marine,

It makes sense really, so much of the game is free. They have to provide something that makes it worth paying. Increased maximum population is pretty popular. Free To Play players can still play for an unlimited amount of time, just not an unlimited amount of growth.

I think it would be good to allow free players to have 4-5 countries and reach war level 3 or higher to be able to pvp. This would let them try more game options and possibly become premium members. Having in mind how many free counries SC has it makes so much sense.

I can agree with you Lord Mndz on the idea of free players having 4-5 countries but not the idea of them reaching war level 3. In my opinion, they shouldn't go up in war levels at all until they starting paying full membership for the game, and also any slave countries free players have, should have no war protection for them at all. Let the free players attack each other and take each others countries so they can get the hang of the war game, and also limit them to a few basic defensive and offensive weapons as well since they are not paying full membership either.

Your idea Lord Mndz of letting free players having a few countries, especially without war protection would work on Fearless Blue which would make sense and a perfect testing ground for such an idea. They would be protected from the big time players since they will be under war level 3 anyway.

Well, I often go and explore the map ant it is sad for me to see how little these are populated by players. Therefore whatever options works which improves this situation.

Very long time ago weapons were limited to free/premium players but war had no restrictions as federations had mix of them both. If you restrict mix membership wars you also restrict federation wars and ability to train free players in them.

F2P players used to be reckless in war. They had nothing to lose.
many complaints about that in the past.

we could change details but then you can ask to move the limit a little more and then again.

There must be some limitations.

we used to start with 4 millions in new countries and 20 was considered very high.
now 20 millions is considered too low.

I see your point and still free players in my world are considered as potential premium ones after they try most of game features. Currently there are no wars between F2P at all which means they are not trying some exiting game features as war, federations, collaboration and politics.

I believe it is not the number of population is the most important factor here but the customer journey they should be able to get still.

At $4 per month just stump up the cash and try the full version for a little while if you're not happy with the FTP features. This game is ridiculously cheap for the sheer depth of play you get.

Simple.

With 20 M population you can have 40 very profitable corporations, an army, and everything else running.

We will consider the ideas presented here about possible conditions to more the soft population cap.
