For anyone wondering, the rumor is true, these corps as of now can be extremely profitable. (If and only If) there is a real player interest in buying them. Much like strategic weapons corps. If there's no player interest these corporations are a complete and extremely expensive pain in the bottom line. If wind farms aren't selling you can do only one thing to keep the Corporation going along with the 3 wind turbine corporations you'll need to feed every wind farm corporation you have. This is sell them to your country. A rather expensive proposition if you currently own 10-15% of the entire production of wind farms on a planet like I do. I'm needing to rob my enterprise blind every month just to send money to my country just to keep it barely afloat. Here is just a few suggestions I have.

A. Much like military weapons. Enterprises should be able to buy these things and warehouse them right next to the stealth bombers and Chemical missiles that enterprises have no use for other than holding for better economic situations.

B. An artificial demand should be created by GameMaster controlled countries. Not endless but perhaps enough to create the initial energy a country needs before a new player begins to grow the country. This might appear that I mean that I want every country on the planet to order wind farms from me right now. No, they should be placed automatically in various states of decay so that wind farm corporations can replace them as they die. Perhaps we could even sell them at a break even price. To where we're not getting mega rich but the bills are paid for the corporation and the workers stay employed.

C. We should at least have the option in our country to destroy them. We can't sell them. All you can really do is feed them a wind turbine every month and sell the excess electricity.

D. And I think this is big one. They should be considered a military target in wars. Why not? They are a valuable part of the infrastructure. You should be allowed to garrison troops at them but they should be on the menu for war damage. This would also help stimulate the renewable energy economy. Some could be damaged and repaired but some destroyed and need replaced.

Please consider this a list of separate ideas. If there's one good idea in here take it and run with it. If the others are too complicated to implement or too personal to my situation I do understand. It just seems like there's a wall in this industry that the corporation owners are going to run into. That wall is active players + interest + 1000 per country limit.

I think this is a cool feature and would like to see it succeed. It however can't be a nightmare for corporation owners to manage.

Thanks for your consideration.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I will look into it and see what can be implemented.

I think you underestimate the capability of these wind farms to generate income.

Each wind farm in your country produces 15.000 electric power unit per year.
these are now selling for 150.000 per unit.
The price is only going up.

the income from one wind farm is 2.25B per year.
100 of them will produce 225B per year.

I just looked into a country with 90 million population.
the income is nearly as high as all taxes paid by the populations.

I think that income from wind farms will double in the next month to around 5B per year and having 200, will in fact produce the entire incone such a country needs.

I do not think it will work if everyone does that but this will not happen.

Thank you for looking into this. I do understand that they're profitable. The issue I'm having is that when there was 7 (I believe) wind farm corporations with a deficit of over 1000 I built 6 and super boosted 4 of them. I'm producing the highest quality wind farms now. No one is buying them. So I'm spending somewhere around $320B a game month buying my own product. I'm paralyzed. I can't do anything other than buy wind farms from myself. I log in, adjust my common market to increase turbines purchases for my increased amount of wind farms, rob my enterprise to pay down debt and log out. I realize I did this to myself but I honestly believed I was getting in early on something that no one else at the time seemed to have been going after. I thought I'd be helping the game feature move along too.

I am buying many wind farms in some of my countries to see how it works and have already seen that the amount of electric power the countries purchase is declining.

I expect that many wind farms will be purchased and that there will be a shortage.
the production will decline a bit and the price of wind farms will increase tremendously.

The cost of purchasing them will increase.
also the cost of keeping them running
but
The price of electric power will keep going up and will cover for the increased cost while also increasing the profitability.

The price of electric power is now about 150000 per unit.
I think that it will double in the coming weeks.

I went ahead and changed the production of my wind farm corporations to wind turbine production. Even after deactivating my entire military and selling every bit of extra electricity, my country, enterprise and the corps where racking up huge amounts of debt and my financial index was nose diving. I should be good now and and a decent place to change my Corporations back should wind farms get popular. Honestly think I got too aggressive with it too early. Thanks Andy. Looking forward to it becoming a bigger part of the game though for sure.
