I 2nd this. Extremely annoying when you have four contracts for the same company.

I'd also add that you should be able to modify existing contracts. Once a contract is signed it should be the only contract that exist between party A and party B for the transfer of resources from A to B (a separate contract is need from B to A). For instance, i'm contracting out cattle to a common market partner and i've just started a corporation for cattle and I prefer to contract to my own company (to keep the money in my country) but the company cannot handle my demands I could always modify my existing contract and start a new one with my current corporation to pick up the difference.

Also, modifying contracts can become a political tool is countries with large contracts use economic influence, adds another element to the game. If an ally is being threatened by a country I have several large contracts with I may threaten to downsize my contracts which could be an alternative to war. Sort of Boycotting on a smaller scale on individual contracts.

I have occassionally also reset all contracts, for reasons stated by Tdragon.
Of course, the best way is no contracts, but you really do need some.
