I just wanted to setup some high tech corps, as my schools supplied me with many highly educated workers.
What a surprise was when I discovered that:

To fully staff COMPUTERS corp I need:
Low level workers 46000
Medium level workers 48000
High level workers 22000
Low level managers 3800
Medium level managers 3300
High level managers 480
Executives 180
High tech engineers 37000
High tech seniors 7400
High tech executives 740

I don't see any reason for need of that high numbers of low and medium workers. It's a HIGH TECH industry. I suggest cut low level and medium level requirements by half (at least).

The same thing goes with SOFTWARE corp:
Low level workers 40000
Medium level workers 38000
High level workers 27000
Low level managers 3300
Medium level managers 2600
High level managers 640
Executives 150
High tech engineers 39000
High tech seniors 7800
High tech executives 560

I understand SOME low/medium workers can be needed in high tech industry, but not as MANY. 105.000 workers to 47.000 computer specialists is just too much.

That is for a crappy 100 effectivity corp.

The numbers for a fully upgraded corp are skewed much farther in favor of high tech staff.

I do not have any state-owned corps, but for my CEO corps, fully upgraded to 225 effectivity, I get this for computers and software:

Computers

Occupation Employees Estimated employees
at 100% Hiring Salary

Low Level Worker 6,000
Medium Level Worker 23,000
High Level Worker 27,625
Low Level Manager 8,800
Medium Level Manager 7,300
High Level Manager 3,855
Executive 680
High Tech Engineer 42,000
High Tech Senior 10,525
High Tech Executive 1,365

Total: 131,150

Software

Low Level Worker 21,250
Medium Level Worker 25,500
High Level Worker 29,875
Low Level Manager 5,925
Medium Level Manager 4,475
High Level Manager 2,140
Executive 488
High Tech Engineer 41,125
High Tech Senior 9,925
High Tech Executive 885
Total: 141,588

Remember, even glitzy office complexes need janitors. If you want fewer LLW, upgrade your corps.

Current Employment and Salaries in the Company
Occupation Employees / Employees @100% Salary
Low Level Worker 0 / 0 58,300
Medium Level Worker 18,000 / 18,000 74,200
High Level Worker 28,750 / 28,750 100,700
Low Level Manager 9,800 / 9,800 121,900
Medium Level Manager 8,100 / 8,100 159,000
High Level Manager 4,530 / 4,530 212,000
Executive 780 / 780 424,000
High Tech Engineer 43,000 / 43,000 159,000
High Tech Senior 11,150 / 11,150 238,500
High Tech Executive 1,490 / 1,490 477,000

Total: 125,600 / 125,600

That's for a fully upgraded Computer corp (fully public, at 530 salaries) I was always wondering how much of an improvement you get buy upgrading corps, and now, that I see it drop from 46000 LLW, to zero... YaY for the PUBLIC sector :)

Only efficiency upgrades effect demand for professionals, salaries improve productivity and protect that corporation in times where the country were to experience worker shortages(relative to salaries of other corporations in that country).
