It would be good to be able to select airunits as well as ground units from the select target list when attacking. Or create a separte menu for land and air targers. This would make war easier as ofetn units overlap each other on the map and are difficult to target. As I understand, it is only land forces that can be selected from the target list at the moment.

Click through them Goldern, all army units are listed, the problem is perhaps that they all get the same default tank graphic, whether they be air, ground or supply.

If the graphics by the army unit name could be made to represent the unit that's listed, then it would be a lot clearer.

For you, yes. What about the guy who you are attacking? Please dont say it is a c3.

This is another example of a problem that is not a problem. Yes, it might make the game easier for you in this one circumstance but by no means is this an area that is worth the time or effort to change when there is a huge backlog of features to add and a huge theoretical backlog of existing features that need to be fixed.

This issue IS a problem, as a defender I can place an airport and base close together and hide all my air wings by creating thousands of 1-jeep land defense units, or hide my offensive land units behind the smoke screen etc. Picking those out from the resulting massive list is the devils own work.

The point of selecting from a list is to be able to actually select the obfuscated units because of the map drawing problems. The current one-tank-icon-fits-all situation just makes it possible to obfuscate the selection list too.

For the developers to make the correct icon to appear alongside the name of the unit is actually likely to be relatively simple - they have to pull the unit's name and location out of the database, so grabbing its type is unlikely to be tricky. After that its just a matter of a copy/paste the code that assigns pictures to units that's already written.

Assigning priority to such alterations is the perogative of the developers but in the meantime, the "suggestions" section of the forum is the appropriate place for this suggestion: I say good work Goldern Horde

Sure, this is the appropriate place for a suggestion. I never said it wasn't. And I only speak for me, I do not speak for the GMs and their prerogative. I only speak of my opinions of what there prerogatives should be.

It IS a problem for you. It is NOT a problem for me.

Golden Horde should put it to a poll and see if the players and the GMs agree.

On second thought, this is probably not the right place for this. "Your search for tom willard matched 4 pages." That is a search of the Suggestions thread. One in June of 2008 and the other three in 2007. This Suggestins thread tends to be for the players. Make a poll if you want the GMs response quickly or in four months time.
