Sigh, worker imbalences yet again (Little Upsilon)

Why the hell can't we just set priorities for workers (real life governments would do this by advertising, increasing trade schools and funding, giving incentives/tax breaks to people and businesses who fill the gap etc). It would make fixing worker imbalances a LOT easier and simpler. Example, I may only need more of one type of workers. The only method I have of fixing this is converting a measly 50k of educated professionals each time I log on to SC. All other methods of increasing workers increases the amount of all workers (apparently back to work schools and special clinics increase lots of worker numbers, and decreasing education priorities). I'm sure the entire full member population of SC would agree with me on this.

Hell, a long time ago, before I left SC last year (and came back again), I'd proposed this exact idea in an exclusive poll. Call it "vocational training," I said, and let us set those priorities for workers...

I spent 45 minutes digging for what I had proposed in the exclusive poll results, but finally I found it.

We should have the option to set "vocational training" priorities...i.e. set priorities for the ratio of LLW/MLW/HLW like we do with managers, doctors, teachers, execs, etc. now.

W3Creative, if it is worried about sudden changes in the balance of workers, could even set it up so you have two separate "totals" to juggle, one for workers and one for professionals, if they didn't want a flood of workers

I think they have given up on that then. As recently they claimed to have fixed that problem, all I think they did is make more HLW appear each month because I have almost equal amounts of HLW as LLW, with me haveing to use poor nurses that put so much effort into getting their qualification, only to force them to work in a textile factory, as MLW. Seams like a half arsed approach, but its not like they aren't busy, and still its better then no change at all.
