I'm trying to get my country to level 2, and the Employment Index is the remaining obstacle to progress.

Here are the numbers just after the index was re-calculated:

Employment Index 74.22
Percentage Unemployed 25.78
Number of Employed 32,376,259
Number of Unemployed 10,317,651

That gives a total of 42,693,910 workers.

10,317,651 / 42,693,910 = 24.167% unemployment, not 25.78

That would put the Employment Index at 75.833, not 74.22.

So, what is going on?

I heard that sometimes it takes awhile for the index itself to be fully registered in. If that's your current math just give it some patience.

All but transportation index seams to decrease instantly (withing a game month) but only increase at a snails pace (over games years), its quite annoying. Same thing is currently going on with me it says I have 9% unemployment, when its more around the 4.5% mark.
