I tried conducting a war in which I had a number of problems:

1) My airport construction unit landed without its supplies and failed to build an airport, nor could I find a way to resupply it

2) All my special forces units got stuck on the map and were unable to move. Actually, they also landed with no supplies, but were still able to move around and occupy a fair bit of territory before getting stuck

3) When I tried to airdrop supplies to my special forces units, two of my airlift units appeared in the other country and got stuck there. No supplies were delivered

Wait til you try to get the air transport units back. I do not think that it is possible.

From what I can remember, even though your AT units are positioned in another country, when you use them again they will move to where you want them.

One of them actually snuck over into one of the bordering countries of the nation I declared war on.

I have no way of interacting with the airport construction unit, so it's definitely a lost cause. My special forces units can't move, and can't be airdropped unless they're near one of my airports, so they're done for. I'll try re-taking this country when I have a far superior navy and rescuing my boys...

I'm fairly disappointed that the war engine is so broken though

Order your SF units to "return to base"

When you build new SF units increase the gas and military supplies at the time of construction. Finish the war before they run out of supplies. I usually try to average 2 trucks per SF unit and that works O.K.

The airbase construction crew eventually builds an airstrip and a supply depot. It takes a very long time.

Be careful. Once the construction crew finishes an airport you will own 2 or more offensive bases and someone can nuke your home base and cause 100% damage which destroys all weapons. :)

This wasn't a finish the war before they run out of supplies... I airdropped them and they had no supplies. As in no supplies went with them to be airdropped in. Their ability to still move afterwards is a mystery to me
