Problem with reserving production (White Giant)

I keep trying to have my companies hold some products. My coal company, Stone company and Power company. I have done this for 3 to 4 month now and the companies will not hold products and the company that needs them is going broke fast.
I don't understand why. I didn't have trouble before when I had a company hold.

Have you tried going to your automation page ? At the bottom of the page you will see a list of your corps/companies.

See if you have checked the retain product block at the far right of the auomation selections for the corps that you need to have hold product.

If that fails or you need product fast, go to your trade settings and contract all the production of your select corps to your own country and manually sell to whatever corp that needs the necessary product.

I believe that the first choice will solve your problem.
