Cant Buy countries (White Giant)

I cant bid on countries have tried three times but all that happens is the side bar and top bar menu get blacked out, so I cant use them to go back to the home page or any where else. Does'nt
matter which country I bid on they do the same.
I can bid on pop, gold coins and offer countries.
Help please.
