The awards for being #1 makes no sense (White Giant)

When you get #1, if i got this right, you get into the HOF and cannot get any awards for 6 real months.

What is the incentive of being #1 then if staying number 2 gives you more GCs after 6 months? Other than bragging rights..

I looked in 2-3 worlds and it is all the same. I think for Countries it is also similar.

Shouldn't the period of not being allowed any awards be shorter, or the #1 prize higher? It would create some kind of competition..

I understand that the point of not being allowed any awards is to not let 1 guy collect all the awards non-stop, but it should not make people think about if they want #1 or not.. everybody should drive that way no?

I don't agree. As things are now I believe you can get your score as high as 2300 and still not take 1st place 3 out of 6 months. If you don't want 1st the other 3 months just tone down your score before the end of the month comes and you'll be safe. Also if the period were made shorter there would be complaints that noone can take first because depending how much it was shortened MOP and Jo would be winning most or all of the 1st place awards. In the interest of giving others a chance I think putting those 2 in the HOF dungeon for months at a time is just fine. (Sorry guys, you know I like you but you're just too good)

Aaron, thats my point : Why wouldn't i want #1 spot? It makes no sense..

By reducing the dungeon period of 1 month for example, you make it already worth it to be #1, and you still let 5 people get #1 instead of 6 on a 6 month period( assuming the one who got #1 gets #1 after 5 month..)

That was just an idea(shorting the period), you could give out something else than GC to the #1 to make it interesting.. Extend the empire by X days, allow to build more corps(as the limit is almost always reached), takeover a C3 of your choice anywhere in the world he is in, whatever.

The point is by trying to make it fair to everybody and avoid having a #1 racking in every top prize everytime, it kind of put out the incentive of being #1.

I might get shot, but i like your idea of putting some people in the dungeon forever ;) ..
