if anyone can account for this, let me know asap.

i've had about 1/4 or so of my health/edu infrastructure wiped out (avg) in all my countries across worlds, due to extreme shortages.

I noticed the trend around a month or so ago (in one of my countries i had stockpile for rainy day of about 700k edu workers that disappeared in about 3 rl days) and since then have noticed all edu/health worker stockpiles vanish, and go into shortage.

shortages occured regardless of the following:

both low/high SS,
high/low welfare
high/low migration index
high/low edu priorities,
neg pop growth/pos pop growth,
econ being built up/stagnant econ
high/low gov't salary. (though my idea of high is about 4:7 to corp salary)

i've come across many who are having same problems, which leads me to believe it's not just me.

is it simply because of my gov't salaries? or some weird thing happening b/c of recent game changes?

thanks for your time and consideration.

apologies for the double post (i made a similar one in fb forum)

sincerely,

I am having a similar experience. I was maintaining my Ed/Health workers with ed priority in the 5 - 7 range (EI over 200) and converting them when they got to high levels. Now I cannot get a positive trend curve - no matter what I set it to.

Also, I am getting outrageous numbers of HTEs and HTSs in the same country - 40,000+ one month after I convert professionals to HLW.

I believe that this is related to the new Automation systems that the GM has put in place. These are not supposed to apply to countries above Level 4, and I have none of the features checked, but the Log says,

"Your education system is not training the professions your industry needs. Some workers have been assigned a different profession. Please check the priorities in your education system. You may need to build more Schools and Universities."

I haven't gotten around to the GM with this yet to see if the updates are the source of the problem.

You're probably right, I posted about my own difficulties with the "Help" of the automatic systems in general.

I hate having 25 priority for something without a result.

If I wanted "help" I'd have the box checked.

The drain on Ed/Health workers is paralyzing. I count on converting those nurses and teachers into HLW.

It's weird but I haven't experienced this. I usually get hit with anything stupid that's happening. One thing that did happen though is that the automation sabotaged my education priorities (all reset to 5) and I ended up with gobs of unemployed LLW.

I'm lucky in that mine has stabilized somewhat so I can function, though I've slid back to level 3 and I think things are trying to assist again.

My HLW graph for Monkshood I won't even discuss and it wasn't my primary complaint. My primary complaint was my education priorities were meaningless since the automation was shifting my population all over the place.

I've never had it touch my priorities though, just my population.

I couldn't log in yesterday and I missed transferring Nurses in yesterday and lost 10 hospitals - 40B.

I really hope not, that would piss me off.
[4:43:21 PM] no, this country is at "Level 1", and after turning the automatic systems "off", they "magicallty returned" after several game months or years; then, after they were turned "off" a 2nd time, they remained "off"; this similar experience has happened with other new leaders, and they have described it here in this live chat in detail
[4:43:47 PM] i've had them reactivate for one of my LU slaves briefly
[4:44:00 PM] and you don't want to see me when I'm angry
[4:44:23 PM] if it's anything like my being subjected to automatics involuntarily, I can relate.
[4:44:39 PM] I want to sink or swim by my decisions and actions, not a script
[4:44:45 PM] They only return once?
[4:44:47 PM] unless I write the script
[4:45:08 PM] i haven't checked Monkshood in awhile, let me take a look and see if it's still a little special
[4:45:29 PM] yes, the automatic activation returned once; after the second "off" selection, they remained "off"
[4:46:37 PM] true, this was never reported in the forum, or by email to the 'masters', at least from this leader. but perhaps it should be

I finally had to turn off effectivity upgrades to fix the Ed/Health worker problem, but that did the trick.

nothing has changed. ^___^ except maybe my edu priorities have stopped health edu/workers from disappearing....

my pop won't stabilize. all my countries still have neg pop growth.

i think iki gives up now.
