Is it a public corp?

Yes, IPO'ed it myself.
Sold 50% to my other Enterprise, then went to buy 20% in the country it is placed in and got that message. I never had a problem doing this before...
And I just went back in, and it still will not let me.

I tried it, buying Enterprise Controlled public corp shares of a Corp in Mullin. I got the same error message. I've done this a thousand times--first time I've had a problem.

The latest game news would seem to explain this :(
What is the point of this change? I'm sure there must be some philosophy behind it, but for now it eludes me.

Maybe they don't want people buying shares in investment-fund-controlled (gamemaster) corps with countries? Just a stab in the dark, but it seems like they're pushing gamemaster corps lately.

Oh, here's another stab: Before, if you IPO'd a corp 50/50 between country A and your enterprise, then moved the corp to another of your countries (B) then split the enterprise's 50% with country B, you'd get a truly public corp where:
Country A owns 50%
Country B owns 25%
Enterprise owns 25%

Maybe it's to keep people from doing that. Um, I don't think people did it much though. I only did it like once or twice. It's a pain to set up.

Hmm... okay, one final stab! For a while I was trying a system where I'd IPO corps 50/50 between a country of mine (A) and my enterprise, then move the corp to a c3 that I took. I'd set it up like this:
Country A: 50%
Investment funds of my countries: 50%
The C3: 1 share

Then I'd drop the C3 and collect lots of dividends~

It usually didn't work as well as I'd hoped though, and it took a lot of micro, and that change of theirs where c3s sell shares took care of that scenario anyway.

Well, I'm done stabbing >_>
