Returning Special Forces Units to their Base (Little Upsilon)

I click "return to base" on my special forces units and instead of coming home they go to a base in one of my other countries.

I can't airdrop them from that other country. Instead of making me airlift them home so I can use them again, why not just make that button send them to their country of origin?

Or just let me dismantle them in any of my countries.
