Game spending coins for you?

Is this a new helpful feature? I log on today, knowing I need to extend my countries and ents, as per normal I leave it to the last day, only to find the game has spent 30GC per for me. Great! I prefer to buy boosters, particularily WP for my FB main, with my coins, but it would seem the choice has been removed if you leave it until the last day.

Hasn't happened to me. I usually wait until the last minute too.
