Can you say what you are doing with govt. worker salaries please. Nuses, teachers, docs etc and other employees (and now I notice officers) are all getting nice pay rises.
If you are absolutely not influencing these rises then I am at a loss as to why they are occouring, I would have to have another study of it, but for the moment it definitely points at a WC3 change.

Please try to tell us in advance if you do things like this, just explaining what youre doing and why would be nice, ignore the few fools who will scream and shout and bellyache as to how they want it done.

And while we're at it......
Supply of Q160 in a state corp always gave end Q296....not no more.Is this intentional?

Same with publics..not Q370 now

interesting find Blue. I noticed a lot of ceos. I looked on Gr to find that mine makes barely nothing. I've mimicked a few strats to test them out and to see why i am not doing as well. I found that in the 2nd place ceo is making hundreds of billions every month.

mine is making 90b and running at a loss almost every month. I reset my supply quality to 160 and started over. I have a bunch of what I thought were good corps. Maybe it has something to do with my trade strategies.

But in the good ceo I noticed that good corps aren't making much money like oil and services especially in c3s. Intentional, probably.

The difference between the good ceo is second, and i am in third. he has a little over 800 corps, and I have just under 700. but there are big profit differences. we both use 160 q supplies but our trade strats do differ a bunch. I'm going to check more corp type by corp type and check settings by settings and see if I continue to make a big difference.

Every c3 corp is %100 hiring but welfare divergence of just about %10. That isn't fair, shouldn't c3s be able to maintain a decent welfare. Those corps are all mostly making losses in the 'good' ceo.

Noting else seems so terrible to get such bad results. I would say %90 of my corps are in c3s and there is the 'real' problem. Nope definitely not going to cut it. I'm still looking... bbl

Welfare and taxes make all the difference apparently.

Therefore I suggest low welfare in and a %30 tax rate in c3s is an injustice to ceos.

Changed 2 settings.

Now look...

Nominal Value of 'The High Profitess Corp' for Simcountry Players
Base Value 180 GC
Assets 430,490.83 B 1,435 GC
Military Assets 0.00 B 0 GC

Expected Profit this Game Year 10,297.03 B
Expected Profit Real Month 77,227.74 B
Expected Profit Real Month in GC 227 GC
Profit Capacity Value 4,540 GC
+
Total Nominal Value in Gold Coins 6,155 GC
Total Nominal Value in US Dollars $ 615.50 USD

Strange it is that easy to really phunk up your CEO. It would be nice to have the changes stop for a while or altogether so W3c can actually recommend some settings to newer players or CEOs in general. Apparently Salaries will be a big factor, the difference between 350 salaries and 100 is the production %93 to 90 for 100. In other it makes absolutely zero sense to run anything but 100 salaries in a country with less than 100 welfare.

its confusing cos i ran some corps at 30 sals..Welfare 94 but Q produced 296.

sals at 300 giving Q produced at 250 ish. all fully upgraded.

But your right with all the changes, Game needs to settle down and let the adjustments catch up.

An explanation of whats been changed and why would help:)

Demand for High Tech Services has skydived to a bottom. Id guess its cause W3C adjusted demand for that goods in corp need, but fast big changes are nasty indeed. Crashing a market without a word aint nice.

you're right I sometimes get higher but generally 296 any higher is offset by adding 100 Q fmus and electric. easy

And Scarlet, Blueserpent has some of the best spreadsheets and research into testing in this game. You were away for a while, maybe you should ask around before being presumptuous.

I do that all myself.

Other players can corroborate:

Quote:

WildEyes Guide to Leaving
(PROTIP: Final quality is (ASQ2)*CQ*1.02. CQ + Corp Quality. HOWEVER ASQ2 is 1+[0.01(ASQ-100)/2]... or an easier way to explain it is, if ASQ is 190, change it to 1.90 and divide right of the decimal by 2, so it is 1.45...

so 190 ASQ with a 200 qual. corp gives 1.45*200*1.02 = 295.8 Final Quality.)

God, whatever. I'll just keep making money while you complain that the game is broke.

Edit: However, Crafty is correct. They did adjust the salaries of some workers. Corporation consumption was adjusted slightly. Base Price was adjusted slightly (mostly upward) as well.

LMAO, Scarlet Not a single one of your countries makes any money.

I'll give you the same proposal I did last time you started trying to have a pissing contest with me. One week time on any world my main will make more than yours. I have 14 countries and haven't done any economic maintenance for almost 3 weeks on LU. My main probably still makes more than yours easy. If not we can make it in no time flat. Please hush you're not any Rockafeller in this game and never have been.

I don't complain the game is broke. I think it is working just fine. Programming doesn't mutate. If the game is changing, with or without notice it is valid to make note.

Just remember, even though you're supposed to be a guy, and I a girl, when you have a pissing contest with me, remember who is doing the sitting and who is standing. To refresh your memory, you haven't been doing the standing for a very, very, long time.

Back to the real point though, I'll ignore the cheerleader unless he has something to prove...

c3s are a real problem to ceos.

Tax and Welfare are making it impossible to make a profit. Tripling the salary factor from 100 to 300 gives basically less than a %3 advantage from %90 to %93 production. Basically salaries are useless and everything else is beyond our control.

WoWsErs C3 Private CEO corps making some profit?!

Well isn't that a surprise...

duh asshat I'm talking about corps with good settings turning an unexplainable loss.

Of course... you're known for stating the obvious while thinking that makes you a genius. Not.

The name of the thread is Tom Willard please explain, not Scarlet. You can take your duh cap off and wait in the corner until we get a response from Tom.

Thanks for your cooperation.

The losses are entirely explainable.
Market Price.

Heck, you even included a corp that wasn't upgraded.

Same difference, and no not entirely explained.

The point is, that there are some corporation products that won't turn a profit especially in a c3 with less than 100 welfare. Period. If I'm wrong show me and everyone else a single corp of each product type making money in a c3 with less than 100 welfare. You can't because it is impossible, although I don't doubt you'll try.

There really is a point to this complaint. I view most of the changes in the last 6 months as being hostile to CEO's, and as you can see, there are others that see things this way too.
And yet there are lots of CEO corps in c3's that make money. Your TSS Construction 009 is a perfect example. Super high quality and salaries are not always the answer either. And 100% welfare isn't required either.

Thats not the point though, is it.

C3 state corps have great advantages already as we all know. So at least give the CEO a leveller playing field by increasing C3 welfare. Dont the GM want to encourage player competition against game generated corps? or are they trying to get a greater strangle hold on markets?

I'd be happy to see the welfare rate go up in c3's. Very happy.

I see some of them go up after your corp has been there awhile, and almost any time a new ceo corp moves in. It takes time, but the education system cranks out the types of workers your corp needs. Anyone who pays 300 or more in salary usually ends up with 100% hiring, if not quite 100% production now.
I think automatic building of infrastructure should happen any time a ceo moves or builds in a c3.

Has anyone else noticed that C3s don't appear to be building new corps as often? All the C3s I've raided do not appear to build state corps after I de-register. Just an observation :)

These c3's are waiting for Mr Green and me to put a few corporations there.
