What the heck is with all the supply shortages all of a sudden within countries and CEO's on LU?

Gamemeaster please look into this immediately.

Sorry to fill you in on some bad news, Keto, but the GMs are letting the economy pretty much take care of itself.

Before, they would occasionally put some "magic supply dust" in the air to ease bad shortages.

As they announced in the game news, they are doing less intervention than they had done in the past. Plus, there are many adjustments being made to production and the pricing structure. They are lowering the maximum output for many industries while increasing the pricing baseline, thus keeping the bottom line the same, but with less product on the market.

As a result of the combinations of these two items things are very dicey right now, but if you can ride it out, the long term outlook is a lot better than it was, and the market is more realistic. If you're an econ junkie (like myself) you can do long term planning in a more confident manner.

If you have a CEO try to build corps that can supply as many of your country's needs as possible. Another way would be to try to sign contracts to supply your needs, either by advertising on the forum or joining a CM.

My personal preference is to supply myself and keep the money in the family, but everyone is different.

Glad to hear it. You're right about how fast it changed over.

Wild ride; interesting times.

One cannot help but snigger at a returning player pointing out the obvious to a seasoned and experienced player.
