Simcountry Cafe' Live Chat "mass spammed" with 'denied service' by opensesame (Little Upsilon)

"opensesame" account appears to have "mass spammed" the Simcountry Cafe' live chat and it effectively is 'denying service' due to some huge number of the "(:" characters, which not only need to convert to graphic displays, but also are motion image files.

It is certainly not a local connection or network connection issue, but in fact due to the 'mass spam'. There were no other leader logged intyo the live chat, obviously, because likely no computer system has been able to 'resolve' the 'mass spam' problem.

OK..some other leaders logged on and were able to 'clear out' the 'smiley spam problem'. Thank you to: serpent, dix0n, fallenlorian, crafty, and whoever else helped clear those out.

Please Tom, can you find a few minutes or delegate someone to this task. It would be a great replacement for the rather out-dated jabber system you now use, and could be on your own servers giving you better control.

I think that a chat moderator is something that needs to be pursued, and one that is unbiased and has no personal contact with the players in the game or have any game involvement. One of my major concerns has been a couple players' claims that they are 'in' with the game masters. This is blatantly a conflict of interest, if it is true. I would like to see a statement by the GMs as to the validitiy of these players' claims.
