Unable to login to my country (Free Member)

I joined the game yesterday afternoon to try this game out, but ever since late last night, whenever I try to log in, and then access my country, on White Giant, I get an error box, saying 'Country login incorrect'.

I've changed my password, tried several times since this error appeared, to log out and back in, and still I cannot access my single country.

Is this the 'game's' way of telling me I need to become a paid member, to access my country, or is something going on I should be aware of.

I'm pretty sure this is an error.

If you aren't particularly attached to that country, maybe just cancel it and start a new one.
