For some reason when I try and tell the game to stop giving me advice I get this red boxed message:

"The initial salary target for corporations should be between 30 and 300."

Call me retarded but I fail to see the connection between my corporate salaries( which are within these limits) and the stoppage of game advice...

No, that's not "advice", that's a game "rule" like not being able to build more than 6 corporations in a single country with your CEO.

So why would I be getting that message? It makes no sense which is the very point I'm trying to make...
The advice in question is the simcountry Popup I get everytime I log on BTW...

Go to your country settings. There is the box for initial corp salaries. be sure you have set it manually to between 30 - 300.
Log out, log in again just to be sure. See if you can now disable advice. It may be you cant if youre new in the last 2 weeks.
If no success mail the GM, link on main menu, and explain clearly with country name and world.

There is a difference between initial salaries and the salaries set on your actual corp pages, so this points me to that solution.
