Unable to Cancel Countries

I've been trying over a period of several hours to cancel a country on WG. I go to the portal page, I click on add, and then cancel countries. I press the red X on my country and the confirmation box pops up. I confirm it and nothing happens.
Any idea how to fix this?

try refreshing your page and see if that works

No effect, it's still there.
If it helps, the country is a slave country, I don't know if that matters at all.

I presume the country has cancelled now?
