Go to 'map customization' and make sure there is a check in the box beside each fort. Its directly above your map.

well, im sorry Mr dboyd but I have not got a clue. But other than looks on a map its not a big deal.

But perhaps you not only wanna be a world power, but you wanna look good doing it, right?

Look at defensive forces>inspect troops.

Are there 100 there? And idk, but could some of them be inactive? If so, they won't show up.

alot of times the forts will be stacked on top of eachother on the map because of a lack of space on the map.
On the country main page click on "map customization" and that will show a list of all objects on the map. Make sure you count 100 forts there.

And then you can spend ages moving them around your country to make nice little patterns.

Yes it shows 100 Active Forts.
I have moved what shows, so they are not stacked.
It just makes me nervous that what I paid for is not being displayed.
Forts are supposed to have a "Zone of Control" which effects enemy units trying to pass them, whither that functions correctly I do not know.

From the experience of my last war they do, but so does any other object.

It's in fact an annoying part of the game that land forces seem to get stuck on all kinds of map-objects.

It does not have a 'Zone of Control'. You can drive by a fort and paint even if it does have a garrison in it.
