When offering a product for X price of any product, the system is not functioning correctly. It does not deduct the value you use to decrease the price for each month the product is not sold.

Tested 3 times now on Little Upsilon. I haven't been active enough to try elsewhere.

For a consecutive 18 months price of x products did not change regardless of the value used by the player to decrease the price of goods.

As long as it is not sold, the original price shows but the trading system knows how long it is sitting there.

once the offers and orders are sorted for trading, the price is updated, on the fly, by its age, (the time it is waiting). the longer it waits, the more attractive it becomes and in the sorting, it is drifting to the top as a cheaper product.

This is as old as the game.

Our current thinking is that we should remove the entire automatic reductions and increases from the game.
it is too complex, and causes a lot of misunderstandings.
the problem is: removing it, is quite a big software project.

From what I have experienced Andy, this is not true or a misunderstanding on both our parts. I have sold many products using the feature. The price has always reduced, I have witnessed it for myself. I reported the problem because when a product does not sell it always shows a price lower than the original offer price that matches the value used in case of not selling.

I am not sure if you mistook what I said or if there was a change that even you are not aware of.

I am 100% positive the price changes. I noticed it a few times before but simply re-offering the product fixed the problem. In this case, two re-offers and the product sat, because the price did not decrease.

If the price would have moved down, the product should have sold like normal. The market for the product is in the extreme shortage and that market condition rarely changes. Maybe your explanation is how it is intended to work and I was not aware of that. But I have noticed it move literally hundreds of times for different offers.

Andy, please dont remove any more of the trading system. It has been butchered enough already. The players enjoy challenging stuff, else most would go to your inferior rivals.
