What is up with this? You click Immediate Order Strategy and it defaults itself back to Best Price. If I want Best Price, I would leave the bubble ticked on Best Price and not spend the extra few seconds clicking Immediate.

Now I have to go into each order and redesignate them as Immediate orders...totally annoying when you want the program to do what you click.

Immediate orders are traded with a different strategy and will in general cost more than market price.

if you do not want to pay more, don't use this option.

The procedure is described in the documentation.

Greetings,

Sorry Andy, but you are not following what I am saying here...

If you go into your company and you do a buy order for supplies...the default is Best Buy option with the ability for you to click Immediate Order and Fixed I believe. So if I want (and am doing this) to do an Immediate Order because I want the highest priority to get said supply bought, I click Immediate Order and buy it. The game at times then defaults itself back to Best Buy which is NOT what I clicked. So now I have to go back into the purchase order and click the line that says change to immediate order which it should not do as I specifically said to make it an Immediate Order to begin with.

Hopefully this clears up your confusion. It is not constant but happens quite a bit when I want to do immediate orders to fix shortages.

I am not sure I understand.

when you switch to immediate ordering, it is always market + a percentage.

I feel for you Arthur.

He is not questioning price Andy, just saying the buy immediate doesn't always work and he has to change the order to immediate manually even after he initially made the order immediate.

Im guessing your a free member? I noticed the same thing when trying to buy immediate.

Andy say I want to buy def weapons. I go to the defence link and place an immedaite order for ints. Somhow that immediate order I just placed switches back to best price. I have to go into the trade overview and click the immediate order link from there for it to go through immediate.

I think that's what the OP's getting at.

There is indeed a difference between free players and full members.

The immediate orders will however change within several weeks.
immediate orders will be delivered immediately.

The price for immediate orders will be market price increased by a fixed percentage because the order is immediate.

Yes thank you both...that is precisely what I am saying....and yes I am free member at the moment which hopefully is not some restriction of free membership.

Andy...as above...its just the actual clicking of the buttons that I am questioning in that they are not working as intended in your program.

If the button says [Click for Immediate Purchase] I expect that my order will come out as:

1000 Aircraft Fuel Immediate Order

not

1000 Aircraft Fuel Best Price Order

Simply because I pressed the button marked [Immediate Order] - somehow the game is not getting this or if it is indeed the case that you gimp a free member by restricting me to ONLY Best Price Ordering then I will not continue this thread as you will have satisfactorily explained why your program is not working as intended :)

Seems like he is saying it is because you are a free member ("yes there is a difference..."), seems silly though if you can make it immediate after.

And it seems he is saying immediate ordering will be changed (the guaranteed delivery thing). So maybe this will be fixed.

You have to understand, he is like a politician, can never come out with a straight answer.

It is safer to ignore Andy.
