My country had approximately 700bn in the black I purchased 200k intercepter missiles placing an order, not and immediate purchase, at 3.4m per missile. I today wake up and my country is in debt by 1.2T so I have paid approx 1.9bn. The market was also in oversupply by 500k. Why have I paid around 1.9T when 200k x 3.4M would be closer to 640bn?

What quality did you purchase at? Assuming 3.4M was market price you likely would have paid 200k * 3.4M * 1.20 (120 quality) for minimum quality or $816 Billion.

So does it work the same way when I am selling products? if I ask for $3.4M per intercepter missile and its quality is 330Q will it sell at 3.4 * 200K * 330 ?

First of all when you sell manually you can only go as high as 2*MarketPrice, so even if you want to sell 300Q manually you can only ask for 200Q Price. And there the Quality is allready included in the Price you are asking so if you ask for 3.4M that is what you get

so in other words the "market" is set up so you always pay more than the product is worth?

Or much less.
it depends on the market conditions at that moment.

in all cases, quality is taken into account, immediate orders too.

for some products quality is more relevant than for other products and some corporations should not use raw materials at very high quality because the players who are buying their products will not pay for the high quality.

You seem to have noticed you paid more but you never noticed you also get more for the products you sell?

So is borg Queen correct in saying that if I wish to sell something I can only sell it at 2*the market price?

If that is the case if I buy anything over 200Q I will not be able to sell it again for the same price I paid for it?

Which might explain why when I bought the 200k inter missiles my countries total assets decreased by approximately 1T because upon the moment of purchase the inter missiles instantly decrease in value due to myself being unable to resell them at the same price?

You can sell at the price a buyer will give you.
check your records and find out.

the game does not set the price.
the market does and players who place orders at market price or otherwise, try to get the most out of it.

nearly all the corporations in Simcountry are profitable.
