Earthquake not reported in Newspaper

Hello Andy, Unimatrix 01 on KB has been hit by a Major earthquake which I only saw as neighbouring countries with old layout showed me that.

On Unimatrix 01 on Disaster Page it says:

August 6 3634, a Major Earth Quake occurred in your country.
448227 people died immediately and 712112 people were wounded.
'

I got neither a Message when I logged in that Country as it is the new layout, nor did it been mentioned in the Newspaper:
'
No News in August 3634
Currently no news has been received.
'
(at the time of posting this message it's allready End Oct 3634 so all Aug News should be in the newspaper)

The Earthquake also isn't mentioned in the 3 Countries it hit collateral.

So if I hadn't had the other countries on old layout I wouldn't be able to see that a earthquake has hit if not for the 'recovery' newsentries that started two months l

its a ninja earthquake, you don't notice them until they are gone

I had the same problem a short while back and mentioned it on the forum. No useful response. It happened in a January, it was reported in the paper in March and from then on depending where I looked it was March or January... Which meant people died and stuff, pointless having a newspaper if it's on strike in the 24 hour TV news environment, when you need it and oh.. Simcountry's actually a few thousand years ahead of today's date, must have taken a large step backwards!

richard, you can set up disaster relief, doing so virtually eliminates any negative effects

Ok, I found where part of the Problem Comes from Andy: The Earthquakes only Show up in International News and not Country News which is the News that's loaded when you click on older News Reports and the Report of the Earthquakes come a month late. Could we please have a warning in the new layout like it was in the old layout with the big red warning? Newspaper is just too subtle for this Kind of stuff.

We are looking into it.

Thanks Orbiter, I have loads of disaster relief in most countries, but having had four recent earthquakes over two days it's kind of helpful to know at the earliest possibility when it happens so the very disaster relief I have set up can be rechecked and topped up as necessary. In any event, this is about the newspaper advisory mechanism, which appears to be failing us by a month or two.

As of the next update, the Earthquake will be mentioned in both newspapers. The national and international newspaper.
Also, the "red warning" will be added to the new layout.
