Any particular reason to send the e-mails regarding marketing on a daily basis for the past few days?

I am not aware of any change to the procedures.
you can set the frequency yourself and tune it down.

I was under the impression these e-mails were monthly, but when I saw a slew of them in a row on my mailbox it made me wonder.

But you are indeed correct and I have now adjusted the frequency to be weekly.
