Can't make money with Electric motors

I have try this as a country and a CEO, Appears a Electric motors co can't be profitable?. My current EM has a 225 Quality/efficiency with a 5% tax rate, fully supplied and employed. It show a negative profit any time I look at it. I sell its products with a 503 starting market price and sell all.

A possible fix may be to lower the amount of Electronic Components needed as 825000 units is a huge amount for a motor. Most motors have a starting capacitor as the only electronic part for most large motors in real life.

I have notice that Displays, mercury, and Mobile Devices also like this, however I have not tested them as well.

It is likely that there is simply a surplus of motors on your world. Click on the product to see data such as supply/demand and check the graph for the market price. Typically, only items that are in consistent shortage will provide a profit. If your world does not have a need for more motors, closing it and opening another corporation with better prospects is advisable.

The supply helps some however even with a negative supply its was still has losses. Currently the market has a positive of +3,952,706 units. My common market and my local use about 200k per month. I have change output product in my EM in my country. I was thinking a CEO ran EM may make money. however I was incorrect. This turn it lost -0.61B. The CEO ran EM did make a little more than the country.

Make sure you review more than the net market situation at the moment. The market price of the item is calculated into the sell cost. Is the market price stable and high? low? Did you check the graphs?

Observing the current surplus or shortage of the item provides you very little to go on and can, and does, change all the time. For example, if the market has a surplus of about 4 million units, if I were to place an order for 5 million, that stat will instantly change to reflect the 1 million unit shortage. If no other items are brought to market before the day change, the market price will increase a step towards the maximum price of the item. The reverse happens if a surplus occurs leading into the next month. This occurs again and again for each product traded on the world market. Make sense?

Shortage/Oversupply:4,470,131 units... market negative at this time. Look at graphs for the 1st time ( I did not know we had them). My EM is now -0.89B I don't recall if I seen a positive number always appears negative.

I see what you are saying. I thinking of giving up on EM and will change output product soon. This may hurt my common market, however with 1 less EM coups it may help the supply/demand ratio for EM overall.
