So exactly what is supposed to be the typical growth rate for a countries population? It seems that most of mine are growing by almost 1 million per year while other countries not under my control, only a fraction of that? It's a growing problem for me, no pun intended..

Khome, evader23,

There are many factors that effect population growth

1). The size of your current population. As countries grow, eventually their birth rate drops, causing their population growth to slow.

2). Your healthcare index, a high healthcare index lowers your death rate, causing more population growth.

3). Your demographic distribution (how old your people are). Countries with lots of adults of reproductive age, will see lots of growth from births. Where as countries with lots of old people, will see reduced population growth, due to high death rates among the elderly.

Given enough time, your population will reach an equilibrium point, and stop growing. You are just in your nation's boom phase, just ride it out, and before you know it, you'll be saying your population isn't growing enough, haha.

Well, I am familiar with those factors. What I find curious is that, despite low welfare indexes, the populations continue to surge upwards, not showing any slowdown.

No, there is something way out of the ordinary here... this is to devastating proportions. I'm accumulating literally 1 million people per game year per each country on KB. It's unmanageable and NOT how it was before.

Bravo GM! You finally figured out a way. You know what I mean.
