Hi GM's.
Is my education priorities connected to my auto education set up and development? Its just I have the auto ed on and everyday I come back to my ed priorities they have been changed from what I prioritised the day before?

I believe it is. I have it turned off and mine stay stable. Sometimes though it changes completely every few real life months and I can never figure out why.

If your education index is too low then game takes over priorities. This is very painful sometimes

Hi John and Lord :) Thanks for your replies. Maybe the GM's have changed the programme. I'm sure its only over the last year or so I've been having this problem. I'll switch it off now, try and get some teachers sorted (if it will let me) and see what happens.

This is a very old issue and we have tuned the automatic function all the way down.

the only cases it kicks in are:

your education priorities are under 70 or 80 (not sure) and you are in game level <4.
or
you did not login for two weeks and your education priorities cause shortages in workers groups.
the procedure than "fixes" the priorities and it shifts people between groups to prevent your industry from falling apart.

Hi Andy bro :) I would rather loose corporations than schools and universities due to the change of the education priorities. Plus I can log in and change my ed priorities to total 120 with focus on health and education. Yet the following day I can log on and the ed priorities have changed to total over 120 with a very small number next to the set of trainees that I need training up? But saying this....today most of my countries have stayed at what I set them to. Anyways....Thanks for your reply Andy :)

I have just gone through them all and they are all now keeping the ed priority where I left them. It must be a combination of not logging in and the auto ed being on which kept changing the ed priorities. I was thinking though GM Andy bro. Maybe a setting where you can be a capitalist or socialist. So when the country goes into worker shortages, if you are capitalist the system (As it seems to do) sets ed priorities to keep corps running at the loss of Hospitals and schools. And if you have socialist setting the ed priorities set to keep the hospitals and schools open at the loss of corps? But if you keep a tight ship the game just plays the same as it is.

And your game level.
You should be able to keep them all at least at GL 4.

If you want to keep hospitals and schools open over corps set the government salaries to higher than corporate. My government is 300 and state corps are 200.

Nice one John Galt Bro :) I never thought about that. I've stopped micro managing so these things were never a problem before.

No problem. This obviously only works for shortages in things like workers and managers. If you are short on teachers or healthcare staff there is nothing you can do to prevent closures.

Schools and universities and hospitals too, will close for shortages of teachers, doctors etc.

If these are available, they will not close.
