Yesterday I created an Oil Corporation and on Thu May 5, 4331 appeared that it was closed because it was lossing money, low value and low utilization. But the problem is that it was making money (a little).

My nation is The Republic of Oured. This is the New that appeared:

Corporation Closed
Oured Petroleum Company has been closed.
Thu May 5, 4331 The corporation Oured Petroleum Company in The Republic of Oured has been closed because the market value and utilization are too low and the corporation is making losses. 285136 employees were fired.

Corporations close for these reasons for years.

When it happens the data is always correct.

I am sorry about it, you might have seen a different situation before but I am not sure you chacked the cash and loans.

Corporations show an alarm sign before they close.
It is always there to alert you to the situation.

If it happens, transfer cash into the corporation and pay back loans.

The thing is that also appears like I dont have more oil because I cant create another corporation to produce it. That corporation last only like 2 days and I had 900 million tons of oil so then I could not have run out of it.

This is currently how it works.

You can create a corporation when you have the material in the ground.
once a corporation is closed, the resource is lost.

We figured out that with a very high price for natural resources closing is unlikely.
It is unlikely but can happen due to situations in the country and availability of workers issues.

I will look into an upgrade of the natural resources feature that will recreate the natural resource if the corporation is closed.

This happened to me too. I built an oil company in Baironia, went to sleep, and when i woke up it had closed after only being operational for less than 6 months. I get that I'm relatively inexperienced, but i figured if i had all the workers available that I would at least have the chance to let it run even without intensive micro management, you know since its oil, and not toothpicks. I've built other oil companies since without noticing any discrepancies so I chalked it up to a glitch.

The closing is reported in the country newspaper.

In general, it is important to make sure the corporations in your country have the workers they need and also the raw materials needed for production.

Shortages and problems in corporations show up on the list of corporations and more details when you look into the corporation page. There is an exact warning of whatever is wrong.
if nothing is done, and the problem continues, the corporation closes.

This is true for all corporations, also for natural resources corporations.

closing does not happen directly, it takes some time but you really need to make sure they have what they need.

We see many new players starting more corporations than their population allows. They end up with shortages.

we are looking into preventing the buildup of new corporations if existing corporations have shortages of workers.

Andy, I don’t remember seeing any icon, but I think I know what you mean as I have seen some in other cases, “contracts not kept”, “supplies/contracts not delivered”, production limited due to a lack of workers” so on. When I see this I try to fix it. The oil company didn’t show anything like that, but I did notice it was hemorrhaging money faster than a rapper after his first music video and it concerned me so I transferred the max funds to the corporation and when I got up today it had closed anyway. This is now the second one that closed, not the initial one I mentioned originally. At 100% hiring that means the problem must be with company expenditure on other resources right? I only bring this up because of your own statement
“ We figured out that with a very high price for natural resources closing is unlikely.”

If this instead has to do with my ongoing issue of unemployed workers that don’t count as workers for some reason....(I also lost a dozen hospitals today(due to a lack of nurses) so now I’ve got 30,000 nurses collecting unemployment because they don’t count either?

I’m frustrated and I want a real answer. If you’re going to tell me I’m overbuilding why does your game algorithm tell me I have the workers for it?

You can build an oil plant......or

“You have enough workers to build 21 hospitals”

Me - oh cool, I’ll build 15 just to play it safe, I really want to stop my average lifespan from dropping so fast, maybe this will help

Next morning

“Due to a lack of nurses several of your hospitals were shut down”

Or your oil plant....or whatever. Can you see why this would be frustrating?

Those question marks seem to be because your text box doesn’t like my quotations or apostrophes? Also frustrating lol.

The direct reason for closure is always shown in the country newspaper.

what does it say?

did you have a shortage of LLWs?
shortages of LLWs can trigger shifts of workers into LLWs.
Small shortages will not trigger any movement.
