Seems every couple of days or so I have 1-2 of these close for no reason I can see. I have enough unemployed to staff another corporation at all times. I have very high settings for HTE and HTS. I have raw materials set to best price. Any time i see a low supplies i immediate order. The most recent 2 closings were corporations which i built like 3 days ago. They obviously make a profit, and i have taxes set to 7-10% so they actually make even more.

Since natural resources disappear when a Corp closes, I've now lost 9 of these due to closings. My main country is down to 15 (instead of 20).

No other corporation types randomly close (I've built a good mix).

While the effect on my bottom line is small, it still hurts.

Since there are not a lot of msgs posted about this I'm guessing that it is something you're doing.

From the newspaper I saw it seems the corp went cash negative.

Check your buying strats, I did see a corp that was not Best Price.

You say you have to immediate order supplies. Best Price with a 10 month Low Water mark, should fix that.

When you immediate order do look to see if the corp has multiple back-orders for that item? Are your corps set to buy large quantities of supplies? Do you replace the cash you used?

If the corp was low on cash, you immediate order a large quantity and multiple large back orders are filled in the same month the corp appears to be broke.

At one time this was a problem with corps that use big ticket items but the GM fixed it.

I originally had it on 9 month low water mark and 10 month ordering amount, I've recently changed it to 6 and 9, thinking the problem is as you described. I was thinking maybe they were ordering too many supplies at once.

The immediate supplies is for certain corps where a raw material jumps to a large amount (like high tech services and air transport as an example), or for ones where suddenly robotics are needed, or anything that needs defense fortifications. I've never had a corp have more than 1 order for an item, I just immediate order that particular order.

Well I work 12 hour shifts, and sleep most of the rest of the time I'm not at work (for the days I do work, I work 7 out of 14 days), so those days its hard to micromanage things and that's when this usually happens.

I haven't tried opening any new raw material corporations
since I switched to the 6 and 9 (from 9 and 10), from fear of them closing on me again. None of the corps that closed, I did an immediate order for. They closed while I was at work, and the latest I actually had checked the update before they closed and there was no low supplies. So it may have been too much ordering at once.

Edit: Looks like I didn't have new corps set to 6 and 9, I must have only done the then current ones. New corps are set to best price buying supplies though, I changed that like a week ago.

I think I know what might be causing this (I had a nat res corp and a def weapon maint corp close last month).

I think its the corp ordering a lot of stuff at once, and going in the red, and instead of getting a state cash infusion, it just closes.

Although its getting past ridiculous whatever is causing it. I can't even start corporations now, they close the next month or 2 later.

Thu Feb 7, 4349 The corporation Baritta Potassium in Freeya has been closed because the market value and utilization are too low and the corporation is making losses. 308900 employees were fired.

This is what happens when I build a new corporation, either that new corp closes within a few months, or an existing one closes. This corp was making A LOT of money, like every natural resource corp does. I even pumped money into all my state corps last month. Yet it still closes.

Change the automatic mode for manual mode, so you will decide when to close them, but take into account that natural resources close companies as their deposit ends. The automation modes allows the game to close what considers no profitable, if you make manual you can decide, but you muct keep looking on corporations

Corporations always close for a reason.

It could be that your population number cannot support more corporations.

A country with 20M population can have 40 to 50 corporations.

In most cases it is a little more than 2 corporations per million.

corporations now have more workers.
defense related corporations are using smaller numbers of workers.

The number of 20 to 30 is probably now closer to 20. more if there are many defense related corporations.

also of course, check your education and availability of workers.

If your settings are for corporations to purchase large quantities of raw materials, you might need to reduce quantities and make a cash transfer to the corporation and allow it to pay debts.

Andy, I'm having corps close even though I have workers and the corps are profitable. My newspaper is saying it's due to value and utilization but they were 100% and worth 300-400 billion. It's a glitch.

What Andrew said, although I think it is because of worker shortages (since each month some workers retire or die and then are replaced, however the system handles it, there could be a temporary shortage in 1 or more areas causing a state corporation to be short and then close).

We nearly never see natural resources corporations close unless they are out of resources in the ground.

if you have an example, please give me the name of the corporation, the country and world and I will look at conditions before it closed.

These corporations, if all supplies are available and workers too, are profitable almost immediately.

you need to check raw materials, workers and cash.
if the corporations purchase large quantities of raw materials they might become short on cash, take too many loans and bankrupt.

Corporations can produce very large profits but it is not entirely trivial.

Maybe the newsletter should tell if a nat res corp closed because the resources are gone?

Andy, its lack of workers. As soon as a state corporation lacks workers, off it goes to closing. I'm 99% certain this is the issue.

This whole thread is about state corporations, private corporations this isn't an issue, as they just fire some employees. State corporations close down. Is this intentional?

And every month when SC spikes workers by 10-15% per corporation, multiple corporations close this way.

I can't give recent examples because the newspaper only goes back so far, but my 3 older countries all have had corporations close due to this issue multiple times. I'm now much more careful in making sure I have enough of all worker types unemployed. HLW right now is by far my biggest issue. I'm now having to resort to graduating LLM just to convert to HLW.

It is lack of workers.

Natural resources corporations never close for other reasons, except for depleted resources.

Long before the resources are depleted, there is a message on the corporation page and you see it also on the list of all corporations.

The alert appears when reserves of the natural resource go under 10%
