The title explains itself.

Have to explain that one a little more. What is it that you are trying to do that you feel you cannot do?

Change corp salaries from fixed to auto.

You can take the day off, it was posted in the right place. ;)

I didn't say this one was. You are the only one that owns the schtick of saying a post is misplaced when it isn't. You can keep it.

Never did understand the mindset of the pedant. A humourless insistence on accuracy can't possibly be of benefit. Do other people's errors cause you pain? Do you think yourself infallible? Do you genuinely believe that pointing out minor errors of no significance is in some way helpful to mankind and therefore your duty?

Asking for a friend.

So many questions. Tell your friend to run these by his mother or therapist.

For most of us, we don't find the difficulty of selecting from a small list, with descriptions, of forum topics particularly daunting, nor completing some basic reading before thinking they have erroneously declared a gotcha moment. It doesn't take an infallible individual to point out how deep one has inserted their foot into their own mouth.

Very impressed you have a mandate to speak on behalf of "most of us". Clearly it's not only yourself who believes you infallible if most of the community are happy to have you as their spokesman and leader.

I won't point out the errors in that run on sentence for fear you may degenerate into childish mother insults.

I am not doing polling data to come to the conclusion to gauge the difficulty of placing posts on the correct topic. I have the powers, and experience, to look through the forum and determine that the majority of posts are, indeed, placed under the correct topic. I have made no such claims to be anyone's spokesman.

Yes, fear my childish insults. Fear me. I think it is more likely that if you point out grammatical errors, that elevates you to being more supercilious than you accuse me to be. In fact, you have done just that.

Difficulty is irrelevant. Your opinion that misplaced posts are somehow the result of individuals being unable to read "small lists with descriptions" is insulting and ignorant.

And there is nothing supercilious about irony in my opinion.

I didn't diagnose the cause of misplaced posts, and therefore have offered no opinion on any cause of the behavior. Instead, I described the resources available to properly place them. How about I am responsible for my opinions, and you are responsible for yours?

The irony is that you would allude in a way to being critical of grammar while your entire line of attack on me is that posters can't be bothered to start their post with a single mouse click on the appropriate topic.

"have offered no opinion on any cause of the behavior".

"posters can't be bothered to start their post with a single mouse click on the appropriate topic".

That's not a cause. That's an observation of a behavior.

Same as observing that a stop sign exists, a car fails to stop, and observing that a given car still fails to stop at the intersection. Pointing out the car wasn't operated properly, namely that the brake pedal wasn't appropriately utilized does not equate to understanding the cause of the driver failing to adhere to the rules of the road.

You said my opinion was that individuals were "unable to read "small lists with descriptions"". That would be akin to me surmising that the driver in the previous scenario didn't operate their brake pedal and then you accusing me of being "insulting and ignorant" because I said the driver couldn't read the stop sign.

Strawman argument.

Aries

Sure, just quote me where I suggest anyone is "UNABLE TO READ". If you can't do that, it is much equivalent to me suggesting someone should stop because the sign says so without making any statements about their reading comprehension.

If it's a strawman, are you suggesting my opinion isn't "misplaced posts are somehow the result of individuals being unable to read "small lists with descriptions""? It's almost like that's EXACLTY WHAT YOU TYPED.

C'mon. Got anything else witty? You know what strawman means, don't you? Did I misrepresent what you said or not?

Have it your way, we'll discuss your opinion on stop signs.

Maybe the driver didn't stop because they were distracted, having a medical emergency or their brakes failed. Assuming the failure to stop was down to illiteracy is not only ignorant, it's really weird. Motor vehicle accidents are not caused by illiteracy.

You made my point. You jumped to the conclusion that I said the reason posters misplace post was that they were "UNABLE TO READ". Something I did not say. The "assuming" was all done on your part.

In the stop sign example. My observing folks should stop because the sign exists does not equate to me saying the drivers are UNABLE TO READ. The causes could be any of the ones you said.

You finally found the difference between an observation and a cause. Perhaps, you aren't a lost cause after all.

Thanks Aries for trying to help players.
we are probably too slow in reacting and answering questions.

we always had some players who helped and sometimes they know more.
This is essential in helping more players to increase their knowledge level.

In this discussion, the problem remains unclear.

We have retested automatic salaries recently.
sometimes salaries change sometimes they do not.

Automatic salaries adapt the level, per corporations, to the success or failure of the corporations to produce profits.

if the corporation is profitable, and salaries are under 100% level, it will increase salaries. Obviously the contrary will take place in case of losses.

If you have a case where this does not work, please let us know were
(world name, country name, corporation name) and what you think does not work.
