Building Corporations

Why is there a restriction on building corporations due to not having all the staff needed?
Can this please be removed as it is causing serious unemployment issues.

Existing corps that do not have all the staff required are still in operation under a lower percentage which is fine. so new corps can do the same like it was before the restriction was implemented.

This game is getting wayyyy too much restrictions that hinders our growth like cmonnn

@andi

@Amalie, the issue is a glitch where the game leaves "reserved for new facilities" requirements after the facility is built. I currently have 4 countries with this issue.

@Andy, I believe a year or so ago I had this glitch and you rest something to fix it. Please see "The Kingdom of Hodg" on White Giant to see the issue, several of my slave nations also have this issue currently.

All of my states are experiencing the same thing and it’s causing mass unemployment issues

@andi

I also would strongly prefer what Amalie's suggesting. Perhaps it can be attached to "new player" help etc. If you toggle that off you can build corps without full staffing.

Anyone trying to grow a country would love to be able to slap corporations down even if you're short on one type of worker this month or another type of worker next month. I'm not building fast but I find I'm way behind where I'd like to be with getting corporations placed.

Building corporations while not having the needed workers is a major problem.

Many players build many corporations, have no workers and the corporations reduce production.
also ones that used to have enough workers reduce production.

this causes lots of shortages of products and frustration as players do not understand why their corporations are not producing at 100%.

It porces you to balance your education and we are now helping countries to balance the work force and remove workers shortages.

I see and share the frustration when you cannot build but I see no good reason for anyone to build new corporations while there are not enough workers.

Please participate and try to explain why this is needed.
If we see good reasons we might require at least 80 or 90% instead of 100%.

Your last possible suggestion of 80% requirements would be better *in my opinion* than 100%.

The way this is currently playing out for me is if I want a new corporation, *it has required moving workers every single time.* It's constant micromanagement. My hiring on FB has been in the high 70s and low 80s as the country there is extremely new, and my issue is low level workers more than any sort of engineers or education-related professions. Theoretically, I shouldn't need to be looking and moving workers to low level given the proportion of my population that's unemployed.

I never used to have any issues with stuff like this, but in times past, I'd probably build without all required workers 75% of the time I built a corp, and my hiring would mostly sort itself out. If not, I could adjust workers in bulk as opposed to adjust every login. In particular, I am needing low level workers every time at the moment.

Perhaps this is something that's more painful and pronounced at lower population levels - which is where new players will experience it more.

Your counterpoint regarding new players not understanding this concept is understandable. I almost wonder if you could attach an option for it to players who reach a certain game level, population level, or do not have new player help on. IE - if a player demonstrates that they're capable, the restriction could be lifted. That said, I understand that could require engineering support.

@andi

thank you for the response however, i do make sure to balance my education priorities as needed but the issue is not the skilled workforce, its the medium and high level workforce which we have no control of.i agree with what EO is saying in regards of lowering the requirement limit to a more reasonable limit like 75%. me personally i would prefer no limit since building corporations with not 100% reduces the unemployment issue while producing at a low level, instead of causing an unemployment issue. and per month as more workers graduate it fills the low production corps up.

everything was going smoothly I really don't understand how other players are seeing this as a problem but okay i guess.

please really consider lowering that 100% requirement to a more reasonable count.

We have seen that many countries are doing better with this requirement and the building of too many corporations stopped.

I will look into the possibility to reduce percentages a bit for full members with populations above 80 millions or so.

these are more experienced players who will avoid situations with too many corporations. (I hope).

Please please do cause this restriction is really causing me serious unemployment issues

You need to balance your education and make sure you have all the professionals.

I just saw a country in huge problems, with a population of 28 millions and it has 91 corporations.
all procing at 5% of capacity and making huge losses.

Corporation can be built if you have all the workers you need.

This is in place for some months and it reduced the problem of countries that in the past built more corporations than their population could handle.

One of the problems that remains is the shortage of high level workers that requires, even after some changes, manual exchanges of workers and professionals.

we will tune the numbers again and increase the numbers of high level workers. Such changes must be small because if you have too many HLWs, there is no way to reduce these numbers.

the next upgrade will introduce a small change and we will continue with small changes until the problem is resolved, or at least much reduced.
