I'm not quite sure how to describe what's happening so bear with me.

For the past few irl days I'll get large amounts of unemployed groups, and in an effort to build more corps, I'll change their professions to low level workers. I'll have enough workers to plop down new corps, set up the order, and then the next month those hundreds of thousands of low level workers will be gone with no new corps.

This has happened in both my countries: The Empire of Sothania and The Duchy of Nadom on GR.

I've had trouble keeping LLWs as well lately. I wish I had an option to demote high and mid level workers to low level.

Haven't had the issue with corp building myself.

Are you building anything else like schools or hospitals?

I am, but not to the tune of hundreds of thousands of low level workers.

I'm wondering if it's some kind of display bug. It's large jumps in unemployment without large jumps in population or any changes in my existing corps.

Are you buying weapons? Low level workers (soldiers) and mid level managers (officers) are in the armed forces.

If you get new, active weapons, your workforce might get pulled to man the guns.

You may be having a bug but figured I'd try to help see if there was something we could discover on our own.

I was in one country, not the other. I also then deactivated the new weapons so most of those should be back in the workforce, right?

There might be an adjustment period after you deactivate where the game processes the updates.

You might be able to find info about the specifics in the game documentation? I don't recall how quickly they move back and forth. I think deactivations are faster(and maybe 1 month only) than reactivations (which is 10% per month).

Patrick,

I've noticed the same thing, it doesn't surprise me that you struggled to describe it, it's an unusual bug.

In my country, the number of low level workers seems to decline each month. Meanwhile, the number of Low Level Managers, Medium Level Managers, and High Level Managers, grows far faster than I am training them.

For example, I'm only training roughly 4,000 High Level Managers per month, but I'm often seeing the total number of High Level Managers grow by roughly 25,000 per month.

I've also seen the total population of 35-55 year olds increase sharply, from month to month, on months when the number of managers spikes quickly.

So far, my 'solution' has been to manually demote those excess managers to workers.

I suspect the bug was introduced in the most recent patch, when they attempted to correct other workforce issues.

We have encountered many countries that are unable to manage their employment and are going down quickly for lack of education for the professionals they need.

we have also written in another discussion about it.

there is now more flexibility in the job market and more movements between professions if the country has very low numbers of unemployed.

After some corrections, many countries are now doing much better.
The numbers have been tuned down. corrections are much smaller.

However, we will look into this problem each day and tune numbers down if needed to prevent too many from moving to different professions.

Education remains the major factor in making sure the country has sufficient numbers of professionals but
In very bad situations, "flexibility" will kick in.

what are "very bad situations" and how many will move to a different profession is now the issue.

we have already tuned down and will do more in the coming hours and days.
