While I was looking at the Cash Log, I looked there was a visual/format mistake there.
The row logging the "Given Initial Cash to XXX corporation" was formatted in green. This is actually an outflow, so it should be in red.
To confirm, the game is doing the this operation properly by subtracting the amount to the previous row - as an outflow.
