Game Level Gold Coins as a Free Player

Can I advance past 3 as a free player?
If yes, I see that I don't get any gold coins.
But if I pay for premium later, after getting to level 3, will I get coins then or is that award lost to the void?

No free player can advance beyond GL3. You must be premium to do it.
