because i have not encounter a corp on earth that has expenses of US$2 billions per month

i'm trying to get things in perspective when playing sc

none of my sc corps has less than 100,000 workers

It depends on the airplane: a scale model can cost $10, but a real Airbus A321-321 can cost a lot of green currency! :beer:

of the less than 300 countries on earth, many of them have annual revenues less than $1B. all countries on earth combined together have revenues less than $22T.

my countries on sc has monthly profits over $1B each, so i should be very proud and i should be pretty rich

but why am i always struggling to pay off my expenses?

and my countries' revenues are growing so slow because most of the times they are going downhill if i don't manually twig the country's variables every day.

there needs to be automation, that if i can feed my own country's consumptions then my revenues should be growing up, and if i cannot feed my own country's consumptions then my revenues would be going down.

and every now and then, this math in sc confuse me because the decimal place is not consistent throughout all my countries and corps

if you compare prices, and GNP for countries on earth, from a thousand years ago, if they had computers, and made a SC game, based on the Y2K era, the current prices, and income would seem, well, inflated.

look at the date in your world, and keep in mind, what current inflation could be in 1000 years. And also the fact that in real life, we don't have 5-6 worlds to live on. I mean, if everything has to be realistic, then only 200-300 countries should be on one planet.

in this game, i think there is 5 worlds because they want the space aspect to fly and provide competitive advantage to players. i think most players still have to learn how to manage their countries/corps better in one world before being in many worlds.

beside, all space stations are gm owned not players' owned? why not let players develop their own space stations when they have the capabilities?

yes, this is a game. just difficult to think in reverse of what i'm used to on earth

they've promised us the ability to build our own space stations.

space stations, space fighters, space raiding, blockades, space exploration, and even mining. all these things are in development

the first leg of this is still being completed, in mobile units which includes auto-response units that use professional soldiers, and can be transported via shuttles across planets.

although, there are 2 magor problems with space. With GC being the only currency, especially after the removal of the GC market, their just isn't enough flow of resources through space stations to brag about the feature.

further, the second main problem. a player can move untold amounts of military assets across space. while it is an advantage to have a minimal fighting force, that can be effective on multiple planets. it offers a very lop sided advantage, until the addition of space fighters, and a means to defend ag

we often times wait, a long time for promised features. years in fact. its a disgrace.

we were promised "country resources," that is, not every country in the world has oil reserves just waiting to be tapped. but in sim country, you can build as many as you want, where ever you want. W3C has promised to add country resources, allowing monopolies, and "partial victories."

the idea behind "partial victories," is that W3C, believes that countries should not be easily defeated. how ever, to offer a reward, while making countries undefeatable, they want to allow countries to be able to sieze portions of defending country, I.E. the portions of the map that you "paint," you'd be able to own after the war. while the citizens and corps would still pay taxes to the original owner, the winner would be able to build and gain rare resources, even though they did not totally defeat the country.

what i meant from small carrot, is the increased ability to repel invasions. multiplying the cost of invasion compared to the size of the defense. With talk, of the ability to multiply the size of the defense, at a fraction of the effort. and their was also talk of allowing full on counter invasion, at the defenders convenience, anytime in the 48 hours waiting period. offering partial victories was a small carrot, on a long stick.

so to declare war on one of your peers, would require you to have probably double their military assets, and allow them the ability to multiply the size of their defense, and to make the war active at any time. while allowing the best you can hope for, was gaining an ability you already had! However, the game has changed allot sense then.
