What is a good max corp salary target level?

Is there some max salary target level I should not go beyond? I just looked at the first state-controlled corp outside my empire, and saw the salary target level is 350.

I have set my target salary level well above that. Should I lower it and not go above 350?

I have less than 14 million pop-- this nation has over 170 million.

does this make a huge difference?

prob 250 - 300 would be your best starting point. It does depend on corp types a bit, but generally 250 - 300.
