Getting Rid of a Country

I took a C3, and i did not mean to(meaning i merely intended to loot it, not keep it), perhaps i should of chose " Just End the War"....anyway, can i get rid of it now? Or am i stuck with this thingie?

on left of screen click account membership>countries and enterprises>cancel country
