War with 3M (Fearless Blue)

If only the people would except the offer of a beer we could avoid nights in the cell...but alas somebody always lets you down and insists on fighting. Sorry dub I tried but failed.

I am not on FB, but the I just brewed up a lovely little Belgian Blonde Style Ale with some Trappist yeast that I rescued from a bottle of real, unpastuerized beer. Should be ready for kegging in about 2 weeks and drinking shortly thereafter. Alcohol content about 7% and plenty of fresh hops to make you feel happy.

I'll provide the beer, you provide the stories and if life is exciting enough, maybe I will come play.

Trappist beer is good.....

I would like to congratulate the 3M in order of their victory over my nation Wrath III, on FB.

Whilst the nation started the war with no offensive weapons, and was configured to be sold and not fought with, 3M have shown good cohesion and teamwork in breaking it down.

Overall the experience has been refreshing, and i am grateful for it - long have i yearned to once again feel the 'threat' at the prospect of losing a nation, something which regarding my empire on LU is, shall we say... improbable.

Thankyou for your role in this, and also for the offer of peace before war started, it was most gentlemanly.

This in fact, is the first war i have ever lost and has most certainly been the highlight of my 'Sim-Year' so far, and i hope to 'play' in this fashion more in the future.

Dub when you return to FB you will find the 3ms ready to offer you assistance if you require any. Contrary to popular opinion we are a nice bunch really. A bit yin yang in nature, but we usually find a happy medium. It is a shame we only met due to the war. Maybe you can join in one of the 3ms online drinking sessions one evening.

I lost Hunnish Pride the other night. Fair fight, my fault for an extremely poorly timed dec.

I arrived home when the WI was 3.46. Those involved know that it would have been a more interesting battle had I returned earlier. Dec timing is a weakness of mine. Future opponents, rest assured, I probably will never get it right, and it will also never occur to me to get a wireless laptop to use at times during the workday. My opponents were smart to take it when and how they did.

I was impressed with Laguna's conduct throughout the war.

This is the fifth time I have lost a main. I've lost mains to Chetoos/Clam (Bad Lagerland), Sam and Barney (Bad Lagerland), Andy and Kaine (Bad Lagerland), Wild Eyes (Walden Pond), and now Jason, Laguna and Yankee (Hunnish Pride). I need a break.

In which manner did I impress you?

You played your cards close to the vest. You made a few objectives clear as things went along. Your actions toward achieving those objectives were not predictable. Forum posts, in-game messages I am aware of, military actions...all consistent, but not foolishly consistent. You got, I hope, the satisfaction of playing the war game a bit. You seemed to use force appropriately to achieve objectives. Forceful but not vindictive. And the Carmina Burana references hit the mark.
