Christian actions during the crusades were par for the course back then. You can not compare the morals of times gone past with the morals of today.
Using history and ancient history at that to justify the violence of some muslims is foolish. The cause of the trouble is the oppression in islamic countries and their lack of education and oppourtunity.
Hatred however is blind. Muslims may well turn a blind eye to fellow muslims slaughtering each other, but will always be quick to hate the US for a single muslim death.
It is easier to see fault in those who are not your own. People always make excuses for their side.
Human nature is human nature. We all want the same thing, it just has a different cultural style.
In time Islam shall lose its grip and freedom shall creep in just has it happened in europe with christianity. We just hope christianity does not slip backwards to the old days in the US.

The situation you are in determine your morals. A man might think it's moraly wrong to hurt another being. But if someone attacks his family he will kill them.
A mother might think it's moraly wrong to steel. But if her child will die if it is not fed she will steel some food.
Alot of Islam has been forced to live in times gone past due to the oppression. And one of the biggest oppressors in the world is Capitalisum. Capitalisum needs growth, new markets. Communisum and Religion does'nt fit in with the Capitalist way of thinking, so must be changed.
The only time Isalm will lose it's grip is when it controls the world. Like Christianity, up until the point where Christians ruled the Holy Land and suppressed Islam the parts of the Bible that caught the eye were the bits of hatred and war. But when Christianity defeated it's enemy, over time the hatred and war words were over looked and the words of love and forgivness

Islam will never control the world nix. The islamic world is corrupt to the core. Most non arab muslims cant stand arabs.shias and sunnis at war. taliban at war with pakistan and everyone else. Nothing but doom and destruction will come from islamic lands. The only modernish islamic empire was turkish and they have seen the error of their ways. Progression leads to less war. The resourses needed to maintain a modern lifestyle make war too expensive to be fought between modern nations. The advanced can defeat the weak of course. But war between developed nations is too costly.
Most people are not capitalists. The few powerful maybe but the rest of us just want enough to be happy, anything else is a bonus. Nix islamic countries are victims of their relgious leaders. After WWII most of europe and japan was destroyed. Now look at it! Freedom generates oppourtuniy and wealth.
Islam is to blame for the state they find themselves in not the west.

Sure, we invaded Iraq, but it wasn't the western nations that blew up schools, hospitals, and police stations. It wasn't the US that flogged women who dared to go to school. It isn't British soldiers that strapped bombs to themselves and blew up a crowded market.

Out of control religion has destroyed that area of the world. Extreme religious idealogy hasn't helped those regions at all. I have no qualms with the Islamic religion, but they are going through their own crusades right now, and the crusades never helped european nations.

Also, Islam will never EVER control the world. They are destroying any even remotely good image they once had through their actions of the last 50 years. They've done a great job of crushing public opinion of Islam (at least here in the US). And, despite all their posturing, they don't control much of the worlds

In the eyes of the believers, the non-believers carry out the will of Satan and need to be converted so that they will carry out the will of God. But if they still do not wish to carry out the will of God, then they must be curtailed.
Due to the failer of Capitalisum, there will be alot of desperate people doing desperate things. What would you do MOA if you found one of these desperate people in your house and they refuse to leave until he gets what he came for?

Look at muslim countries. How many of them are violent...how many have a rich elite and a poor oppressed majority.. how many oppress women...how many kill gays....how many tortour their fellow muslims... The day muslims tear up the koran will be welcomed by many.

I would shoot him in the face, but that's just me. I will gladly stand up for myself against anyone who plans to "change my mind" using force. I wouldn't even feel bad doing it. I can respect a persons opinion just fine, but trying to force that opinion onto me with violence will get you some violence of your own to deal with.

Actually I can. I'm not justifying what the muslims are doing to us now, I'm simply saying the old church was basically a power hungry meat grinder. It seemed to need to run on blood =[

Wrong. Get brought up in a soft family you might end up being a bully because you know you can get away with it. Get brought up in a hard family you might end up being soft because you know you can't get away with it.

Same with your lion cub. In a pride it knows it's place. Thats why some people get away with chilling with a pride. Yet a lion cub brought up in a human environment might end up trying to kill anyone other than it's owner.
