W3C - Changes in products/Weapons in Simcountry

As we move forward and after the introduction of Tiny Atlas, new products will be interoduced.
Some will be related to Tiny Atlas, new natural resources and new products that will use these new products.

On the other hand, we plan to phase out some products.

1. we have started the process before and will now move it forward, to eleiminate Jeeps.
We have many land forces. Jeeps are not essential.

we will eliminate both types of Jeeps.
There are some details to be taken care of. we will publish details when we get to the last phase.
Jeeps use and production is being reduced.

2. we want to eliminate Land to sea batteries and land to sea missiles.
we would like to hear your opinion on such a change.

I agree with all of your plans. I have no need for 600k jeeps and am never going to be able to sell them. I don't need a reimbursement for them either. Thank you for your hard work, Andy. It is appreciated.

i did once take half a dudes empire, using jeeps to run him out of helicopter missiles. but i'm not gonna put up a fight to keep that tactic around

Jeeps are awesome for many small cheap units.

I suppose I can use armored personell carriers instead.

Land to sea would be a good start if you put naval combat into land based cruise instead.

At the last step, we will convert jeeps for armed vehicles in a way that will preserve your investment.

I think the idea to add naval combat features to land based cruise is a good solution.

In general, we want to implement the idea which was brought up by players a long time ago, to reduce the number of weapons.
especially when we intend to add some new eapons that will make use of new material.

The reduction should and can go deeper.

The balance of game features between new developments (ie: minerals, new weapons, etc.) and older staples (ie: jeeps, etc.) has been really great. It is nice to see the gradual improvements like that occur. Personally I love the idea of phasing out land-to-sea batteries/missiles and both types of jeeps. Johanas' idea regarding the land based cruise system is great, too!

I agree with the jeep changes. Jeeps are really are not needed and turning them into Armored Vehicles is a good suggestion.

As for Land to Sea, if you where to convert them into cruise missiles I think that would be helpful and a welcome change. Land to Sea weapons are redundant as everything else is just better. Adding navy combat abilities to cruise missiles would be a welcome change.

I would like to make another suggestion since we are on the topic of weapons. Guided missiles and Guided missile ships are just extra weapons and cost in navy groups. Has consideration been given to changing them. If we care converting other weapons can this also be a consideration?

we are looking at other possibility to reduce the number of weapons,
especially because there will be new weapons using rare metals coming from Tiny Atlas with new capabilities.

and other products too.
