So, there's this story in the country I'm from, Pakistan. Deep in the country, among villages is a road that no one travels on. Infact, even contract buses avoid them, despite the fact that they would save a ton of money just including that road in their routes.
The story goes that during some really hard times a few decades ago, parents of two children, a girl and a younger boy, decided that they simply could not afford to live with children anymore, so they dropped the kids off in the middle of the road and just left them to die. No one knows what happened to the kids anymore, but the villagers in the region often tell stories of seeing two children in torn up clothes just standing on the middle of the road, staring at the cars passing by. That unnamed road has an incredibly high accident rate compared to the rest of the region, so people believe that the kids in the middle of the road startle the drivers, and cause them to go offroad and st

My cousin and his wife and small children lived in Germany while my cousin was stationed in the Army at one of our sites over there. Well, my cousin's wife, during Halloween, hung witches and ghosts and such on the front door of their apartment. The neighbors kept looking at her like she and her family were demon possessed as they didn't celebrate Halloween over there! ha ha ha
