Andy

The CEO is Kebir "Blue Manufacturing"
Month of the sale is august-November of 3318(everything sold in the single month of October but i added a few months so you can see there was no additional sale)
and i sold 13M units of electrical power from my CEO personal Stocks
As you see i made a total of 1.5T
13M units = 1T SC$ if at 100Q
I had 270Q as you can see in the logs but only got 150Q if that

We have checked the transaction and saw nothing wrong.
The price was correct but the transaction was not carried out in one piece but broken to many parts.
the price fluctuates a bit but around the expected price.

The trading is as old as the game. some parameters may have changed in time but the principle is unchanged.

If there are buyers for the quality, it is executed as requested.
if there are none, the price might be a little lower.

There is no possibility to run the trading any other way because if there are no buyers at a very high quality, the products will never sell.

You can't have someone who want Q170 to pay for Q270.

We could have the old fashion way, couldn't we? The seller gets what he sold, the buyer pays what he asked, and the game makes the difference.

As long as corps make a profit and there is an advantage to increased quality, I suppose it shouldn't matter.

But just so we are clear: if there's an offer of 270Q at the market, but I'm requesting at 170Q, I pay at 170Q but I get supplies at 270Q?

Lol, LG, I kinda doubt it. You'll get your 170, the seller gets 170 for his 270 and the game gets the missing 100.

I would say, if there is only 270 on the market and someone wants 170, then it's up to the buyer. How bad does he want the product? If he wants it bad enough he should buy the 270, if not, then go without. See immediate orders.

This point has been made lots of times. If you want something bad enough you have to pay the price for it. It's not realistic to expect a seller to sell his stuff at a loss just to sate the buyers demand. And if the seller is being too greedy, then no one is going to buy his product so he'll have to drop price/quality. Thats how it works real time, why do we have this twisted system here?

In the case the buyer pays 170 which is also what the seller gets, how does the game get 100?

I don't think you want the seller to get 270 and the buyer to pay 170 and the game pays the difference do you?

You don't want the game to be involved in the transactions. Just match the transactions and execute them. move the money from the buyer to the seller.

These days, the market is better than it used to be because many products make sense at higher quality and the production quality is somewhat lower. many players (at last) stopped producing quality nobody wants.

Laguna,

You get the quality you pay for.
The market does the matching but sometimes must deviate from what was exactly asked for to make transactions possible.

If not possible, the products are not sold or not bought.

Having the game pay the difference is no option although it may happen sometimes. This is just giving money away.

corporations are however profitable, nearly all of them, and nearly all countries too.

No, I'm saying the buyer pays 170 which is what the seller gets, yet the seller had 270 goods. That is where the 100 gets lost, to the game I would presume as I cant see it going anywhere else.

You see, if you let the supply fill the demand, and vice versa, then people would either pay for the higher Q or go without. This would force the producer/seller to be realistic about his production Q and selling price, and make the buyer determine how badly he wants the product. Self supply and common markets benefit. As things are now, Q and trade strategies in particular are worthless, is this a feature of the game that you wanted to eliminate, trade strats?

That doesnt seem fair though andy

Your telling me ive spent TRILLIONS!!! on goods that are now worthless.

theres always someone buying 270Q someone is either buying all or a C3 can buy it but to have me buy 170Q to make 270Q then sell it for that or LESS is outragous and unfair to those who spend so much time self contracting to make a profit. Seems like the GM needs to do some serious rethinking on sales strategies

Plus as a side note
corps have no problem selling goods for 270Q why should i when i sell it from my CEO personal stock?

Nobody complained when the game was paying the difference. It made sense to us.

So, the game is destroying quality in products during transactions, so everything runs smoothly. Effective, but...

If you limit quality upgrades to 25 or 50, and/or tuning the contribution of supplies' quality to output quality, while making the necessary adjustment to keep corps profitable, the game as a much smaller need to destroy or enhance quality to match transactions.

Are C3s really buying at 180Q by the way?
And why are C3 corps upgrading? Did I say upgrading? I meant magically popping up at 200 quality.

worthless?
The price was 100% correct

The sales procedure is unchanged for more than a year.

Don`t ever use this forum to mislead anyone and spread nonsense.

All this was explained long time ago and never changed.

Corporations are doing great, making high profits and they market value is very high too.

Just indulge me, what possible explanation could there for C3 corporation to pop out magically with upgrades at 200?

What about Fixed Price? If player is fixing the price, it means he is only willing to sell at that price. If the game behaves otherwise in that case with stock sales, that's just plain wrong.
