This forum is really out of date

Does it never strike anyone in gameadmin that out of 14k players only a handfull bother to post anything on this forum?

Maybe because...it's really primitive and inflexible by any 2012 standards.

Instead of messing around with the welcome screen, why not put your efforts into the options for player interaction?

No offense, but this forum doesn't really excite anyone. On the contrary. I suspect the general lack of response and posting here is because most players dislike the forum.

You are talking about the forum? The whole website is so outdated, the only reason I play this game is because there aren't any better alternatives. Take for example, looking at your corps., you can't just click the lists to sort them by market cap, by profit to make it easier to see lists. Its so outdated, I wish somebody makes it better. The interface needs a major facelift, and the need to buy more servers and give more months and make the games faster. If they are not willing to invest in the interface alone, aside from investing in new servers, then why should player pay so much money per month? I would pay if they fixed some things.

As of November 1st, there will be an alternative.

I kind of like that the game is in 'old html'-style. That's not a problem IMO.

But the support, the bugs and the limited interaction is a problem imo.

I agree and a Forum for your Federation wouldn't be bad at all.

The forum and the chat have never been issues before and never kept players from participating, so I can't totally buy into that. Yes, it would be lovely to bring it up to date, and according to a recent discussion in chat, the GMs are aware and do plan on making improvements.

We're working on replacing both the chat and forum with more modern versions to improve the look and functionality.

And I think it would be an idea to put links to the forum from inside the game. I.e. in the help section. It does require some sort of search function ofc.

I also play Supremacy1914 and I recommend their kind of forum. When you start typing a post subject for example, it'll show you related items allready posted.

If you had such a function in-game, it would undoubtedly attract more players to the forum.

And the only thing we needed was an endless stream of authentication errors and ten years.

I contacted support as a highly experienced gamer designer and they just blew me off...I didn't even ask for money either... its plain to see they want to be stuck with this 1980's format...not the best place for a real world cash investment.

If you will read above, they are currently working on revamping both the forum and the chat.

I contacted support about an issue I saw, and...

The problem was corrected within a matter of hours.
