I am around. The new players who do come to chat have been receiving my help. The game is complex. Those I get the opportunity to chat with I am able to point to the best resources available, including my guides, and answer their questions.

Recently, I have seen folks like Sinister, Thenewteddy, and Theinventor1012 in there, but I have helped many more in the last year. Helping them avoid the frustrating things in the game assists the learning curve. What the game needs is a bit more excitement, incentive, and a softer transition to the pvp war game, in my opinion. Towards those goals are many of my ideas I have linked to here:

A core group I used to be part of has diminished to the point of non-existent. Very few out there I frequently speak with. I still religiously log on and tend to my countries and enterprises on several planets. Still fun either way.

I think the people I played with have probably all died of old age by now. I'm here, though, if you feel lonely...

I try to log on daily. Though of late was busy with real life. I have noticed many in my federation have been quiet of late. Maybe everyone disappeared like what happened on White Giant. My country there lost over 5 million. Things seem to have stabilized somewhat there. Hope it never happens again as was real frustrating.

I am here every day, sometimes also when I am on my work. I came here about 3 months ago I think, but have been playing this game quite a lot a couple of years ago too. I think this game is the best strategy game ever, I cannot think of other games that comes near this one.

Simcountry is the king...

Some bugs now and them may be a natural part of the development of a game of this size, and it can only be better with time.

I use too much time here, and too much money, and waste the most of it on stupid moves, but I love it anyway

I find this forum very difficult to use, I'm used to PHPBB and other more 'standard' formats; but I do check in every day, and I certainly log in multiple times a day to keep the empire running smoothly.

My core group in WG is extinct too, but they weren't old though... My fed was destroyed *cough*Jan*cough* and they're all gone now.

Saw a note that said that the world I was on lost 8 players out of 9,900--awfully mute players!

there's no way there are actually 9900 people playing, actively playing, or even a little bit active.
