Chat problem

so it says "Error 406: Posting forbidden

New members are visitor of the Simcountry Chat for max 48 hours. After that you are free to participate in most discussions"

I've been playing since I think april, not sure. And I'm paying full member. What the hey!

Drew, go out of Sim and come back in. This happens sometimes because we open several windows and click on an old one. Go out of Sim and then come back in. See if that works. Has happened to me before on forum access.

Well I finally figured out what the problem is with chat. All the conversations apparently happen outside the game in MSN Messenger. I verified this today with Supersoldier in chat. I couldn't understand why it went from a "happenin" place to a dead place. Now it all makes sense. Must be that "secret" elitest group that Chiwoo keeps talking about. ha ha ha ha

You know I always had chats wif my friends in Messenger, but I always graced the chat and forums to include other players. Tsk tsk for being such snobs, you vets. Well I'm done with trying. I can only talk so much about shoes and killing people. ha ha ha

I think Imma gonna go silent and actually play the game silently. Good luck, everyone! :P

Well, the GM ignore pleas for an up to date chat and forum. So peeps are going to go elsewhere. The next step would be for someone to set up an IRC site, and a bulletin board. Maybe that's what W3C want, at least they wouldn't have the moderation headache.

Crafty, it was never an issue before. The chat is the same today as it was last year, year before, year before that, and it didn't keep peeps away. Not even you. All I can say is, what a shame. Doesn't really entice me to stick around. I'm sure others will feel the same eventually.

Yes Lori it is. Year in and year out. My point exactly. Some of the people here now have grown up with a far more dynamic internet experience than we are used to. SC needs to change with the times, which I believe it is attempting to do in game, a really good idea though, IMO, is to update the playing interface.

we can agree while viewing as a player sometimes simcountry does need to change with the times, its always a good idea to change ones interface every so often , but time, and other unforseen constraints , other factors , man power and availibility as wc3 might be concerned might be limited, there's the programming/ debugging that has to be done, not to mention...............oh my im talking out loud sorry guys going back to sleep......................

CHAT UPDATE!!!

Yesterday was a lovely day in chat. We had so many visitors...some new faces, some returnees. I was the welcome committee. Luckily they all escaped wif their lives! ha ha ha

I sold shoes at 5 gcs each to throw at Andrew, our GM. It was similar to a dunking booth at the fair. I had a lovely fundraiser. I raised so much money for the Shoe Fund.

I placed an evil spell of silence upon Andy and he couldn't speak for HOURS!!! I threw shoes at him, poked him wif sticks, tickled him and even ate cookies in front of him! IT WAS AWESOME!!!

I may do this again today, so if you are in the neighborhood, stop by sometime later today. I have to do some yucky work (UGH) but I will be in there later to oversee today's festivities! Come one, come all!!!

Crafty, you old man...come visit again! I had fun wif you yesterday. I'll try to be less mischievous today. :S

Another Chat Update.....

Yesterday - DEAD CITY!!!! I am now making it a requirement that every player make an appearance in chat EVERY day! Oh and I will know if you aren't there!!! And you will be placed upon my list!!! and you WILL suffer pain. Your countries will know famine and great hardships! Be Warned!

I have finally surmised why there is a lack of attendance in chat. Because the one person who used to come in as 50 different people at the same time has disappeared! ha ha ha ha Okay, so I'm exaggerating a bit. :P
