Kebir Blue has been on 31 January 3610 for 24 hours... I'm in the middle of war, anything requiring time movement doesn't move! Special forces et al... Let's hope my war expenditure isn't lost... 28800 cruise missiles and the wars!

Thanks Richard. The world was indeed 'frozen'.
This has no effect on your war expenditure.
I restarted the world and increased the speed
a little to catch up for the months 'lost'.

I lost 17,000 troops with the upgrade and I wasn't even at war? What's that about?

You lost soldiers? how is that?
Nothing happened during the update and KB is the one world that was not updated yet.
so no update or any change at all on KB.

Please explain what your problem is.

KB will be upgraded later in the week.
It had a problem yesterday that caused the month run to stop.
All other processing continued.

It has now run faster than usual and caught up with the lost processing.

We have now improved our checking system to discover such an error more quickly.

After the dates unfroze on KB my offensive forces seem to have lost 17,000 soldiers. It was recovering from a war but it hadn't even lost 17,000 soldiers so I don't really understand what happened. You can see it on my offensive army size graph.

The number of soldiers depends on the number of weapons you have.
If you have lost some weapons in the war, the army needs smaller numbers of soldiers and officers and they become workers (soldiers) and managers (officers).

they do not die, they just go back to work.

once you purchase more weapons, the army will need more soldiers and officers and they are recruited from the workers and officers in the country.
You can see exactly how many are needed. It is specified in the weapons document.

No that's not it.
My army was making monthly increases in the number of soldiers in the months after the war because I was buying more weapons. When the war finished I was at the least weapons I had and every month thereafter I was buying more weapons so there's no way that's what happened.
I lost the 17,000 soldiers after months of continuous increase; it doesn't add up. Either the upgrade caused me to lose weapons or it did something to my soldiers because that sudden massive decrease in soldiers during peacetime is obviously anomalous.

I've noticed fitzpatrick that sometimes if you make new units it will change the required # of soldiers and usually it used less than the weapons do not in a unit. This all has happened to me before during peace time. its a shot in the dark. only other war time decrease in soldiers I have had was adding professionals or changing number of weapons. so that's really crazy bro. oh and beware changes in numbers of some high man power use weapons, like stealth and antinuke batts. they have thrown off some people I've helped in the past.

There might have been some reductions in the number of soldiers needed for some weapons.
This was done to reduce the cost of the army. It was done several times in the past.

A reduction in the number of soldiers, in general, can only happen if you reduce the number of weapons or, as said here, you have more professional soldiers and officers which reduced the numbers in the regular army.

FB is a largest world (about the same as WG).
We have moved FB to a much larger server.

I must say overall everything seems to be moving much faster. I am still nervous about the KB update however kudos for the server improvements.

Andy, as this seems to be the thread that you frequent most often nowadays, could you take a look at my Post in Problems about 'Social Security Payment not correctly calculated?!'?

Hi Andy ever since that happened my main country workers won't stabilize. I keep on transferring the workers I need only to come back the next month and be short 300k mlw,150k hlw. It keeps happening no matter how many I have. I had 700k mlw's and this morning I log on and I'm short 300k. I have been dealing with this since I posted I recovered. Can you plz take a look at my main country on fb and explain to me what's wrong.

We have looked into the LLW issue.
we see that it is starting to stabilize and can be helped by some tuning of the education.

We think that some countries had shortages of LLWs because their education dried them all, pushing them into the professional groups.

we are now trying to prevent these negative numbers of LLWs.

we will look again into some countries we have received messages about, to see if the problem persists.
